Lol, you can drop a couple hundred on a monitor, but still rock the pimping mouse!

Anywho, I'm in this thread somewhere, but that has since changed. Just went to IKEA yesterday, and bought all new furniture.

Thats a shame, the normal one is kinda ugly colour.

I was lucky i got an email from komplett, just after id placed my order for the standard one, so was able to cancel in time.

Thanks.

I honestly love these old school mice. I've tried five or six different optical mice and none perform as well as these old school mice. Everytime I go anywhere I always look for these kind but you can never find them anymore:( Anyone have some to sell?

I love looking at these threads. Here's my contribution.

Off to the left side is just a fileserver. power + network cable only ;) .

This poor guy sits under my desk and never gets any attention, so I had to include him.

I was taking pictures for a worklog, figured I would throw one in here. I am holding off on a desk until I move so for now I am just using a folding table. the gear looks so out of place on that ugly thing.

CLICK FOR LARGER PICS.

WOW nice monitor setup

thanks, I get a decent discount on Samsungs from work, otherwise I wouldn't be so idulgent.

I do desktop support for a company with a large purchasing agreement with Samsung and HP so I can get the bulk rates. We have something like 4000 employees in the region, more nationally.

Just finished my Chieftech case and moved all of the office furniture around.

Took awhile to get most of the wires hidden. I just ran EL wire around the inside of the case window (I did the etching, my first) and I'm kinda disappointed with the light output. Wanted to get the etching to glow. I'll try to take more pics of just the window (this window shot turned out crappy, I'll have to mess with the camera).

It's getting to be really scary looking at all the pictures in here, seeing IKEA furniture, and knowing not only that it's IKEA stuff, but the name of the product as well...I think I've been working there too long (and it's only been 4 months!)

I like the setup Zinn. Looks nice!
Just out of curiosity, what type of mic is that, and how do you like it?

Thanks!
That's a Shure SM58 and it's great for everything I can throw at it. Great for general purpose recording, not too expensive, and can take a beating.

i hear ya, i've been working at fry's about 4 months now and knowing what every brand name is. . and i mean EVERY brand name that comes through that store, and knowing pretty much per square inch where everything is in the store, i tend to not go there at all unless im at work, it just feels odd.

Not only is does your cpu HS need to be cleaned but you might want to think about replacing that motherboard also. It has some leaking capacitors.

he doesn't really need to replace the board, just the caps... costs about $100 less

But requires the tools and the skills. Not many people know how to do that, especially on devices as sensitive as the motherboard. And no offense to that owner, but if he has leaking caps of that magnitude, that old of a PC with generic parts, and that much dust inside his case. I doubt hes a real computer savvy person.

not to mention the PC133 RAM :D

but how can there be a motherboard that fits P4, and yet accept PC133 RAM? And how slow can the computer run at that level of memory?

And I can't understand why would anyone not air spray his CPU fan before even taking the photo.

P4 1.8's were right on the verge of the DDR revolution. Most 1.8's ran on PC133. Hence why most of those machines now fold or are file servers and router/firewalls. :D

Do you guys also know the part number from the manufacturer on cheap cables, brand ram-sticks? :)
I've been working at a computer store in Sweden and there's some dudes there that know almost every cable part number from the supplier... Pretty scary stuff! I know a few tho but I'm more into hardware than cables so... ;P

Don't forget RDRAM man... I have a P4 1.7 with RDR... Or had anyways, until the board gave up! Still have cpu and ram tho...

to make it real? :D

I was thinking the same thing though..that fan is like a white head pimple lol.

I have a friend that could use some RDRAM :)

I've got a board with a Pentium 4 (Socket 423) and I think 512MB or 1024MB of RDRAM. Still works too.
