why should I get a new keyboard? this keytronic's gunna last me a life time, best keyboards ever. shelves do need to be painted though, they just went up the night before I took that shot. Apartment was freshly painted when I moved in, just bare walls and the flash make it look horrid.

I actually got my 2405FPW by Purolator free, no one I know or in my family ordered it, It was the first time I shit my pants that day, will never forget :D

That Depends on what they are used for, I have a 25ms LCD and it is far from being a good gaming monitor. I have heard that the 8ms LCD's still have some ghosting in them during some fast paced scenes in games and DVDs. But in your defense LCD's are good for some things, especially if you ae tryin to save desk space. They are great for office work also. There are other instances where they would be good. I just am spending too long typing this post, so i am not going to list them all. Msybe once the 2ms LCD's become mainstream they will be good for everything. We shall see. Okay i am going to stop typing now, and I hope everyone gets a good night's rest!!

I was on a tight budget back when I bought these two 19", but even now when I'm not on such a budget and even 19" LCDs are only $200 a piece I think I'd still go for a couple refurb 21" trinitrons or LaCiE CRT's, because of the price difference and those LaCiE's have awesome image quality

Yes I know it is horrible. I hopefully am going to get a new 4ms AG Neovo 17" LCD for $149 on Newegg or if my budget allows, a 20" Viewsonic 8ms LCD that is currently going for $249 at Newegg. Unfortunaley Chair, I do not have room for dual CRT monitors I wish I did. I would if i could. I know of a place in town where i can get some refurbished Dell 21" P1130's For $55 a pop. if you would like to see the web site it is

Chair, I dig the workstation man. Those shelves will look great once they get painted. I hope to do something similar when I get into my own space.

And if you're happy with the hardware, who cares about anything else. I'm still rockin a socket A system and I have no problems at all.

That's a pretty big fan man, does it just sit there or are you actually using it for cooling?
 
Yeah it's on. Gives out huge amount of air flow.

I've considered having it blowing into the side of the case but I'm worried it'll shred everything inside.

I'm deaf so I dont hear it. :p The real reason why I have it set there is because my air conditor broke so my apt get very hot during the day. It's a temp solution.

My guessing is that he would be happy with a 17" screen, but if money allows he will splurge and treat himself to a 20" Viewsonic. Very nice screens to look at.

For me, I never saw the point in the 19" monitor. Sure, it's 2 inches bigger diagonally but it's still just 1280x1024. That means pixels are larger, which means the picture quality won't be as sharp (or rather, on a 17" it's more forgiving of the source material than a 19" at the same resolution). Now, if the 19" had a higher res (say 1600x1200, or at least something better than 1280x1024) i'd be all over it, but give me a really nice 17 or an okay 19 any day.
 
Both Wild Weasel and Kidicarus74 are correct. I would be perfectly happy with a 17" and if money allows i will get the 20" Viewsonic. Unfortunately this summer, my 1 year old Panasonic Digital Camera and my 30GB Zen Xtra MP3 Player Died. So I have to factor replacing those into my budget as well. :( That is why I am not sure if I can afford the 20" Viewsonic LCD.

And Kidicarus74, i also never saw a point in getting a 19" LCD Because, like you said, The pixels will be larger. I magine even worse being a widescreen. So i will probably go with a 17" LCD.

This is a custom made Brazilian mahogany desk. Solid as rock! It's almost 10 years old, I think.


The receiver is an old Brazilian 1976' Polyvox PR1800. I posted its specs a while ago in this thread. Here they are again:

- Power per channel: 28W RMS@8 ohms / 35W RMS@4 ohms
- Frequency response: 15 Hz - 80 kHz (-3 dB)
- THD: 0,15% @ 1 kHz, max output power
