As an aside... I just thought you all would appreciate this. This picture is what I see whenever I drive towards the capitol building here in Tallahassee, FL. Yes, this is actually a picture of the real State of Florida capitol building. Nice, huh? The tall building in the back is the new capitol, the one in front is the old capitol, and the two domes are the Senate and House of Representatives buildings. I can't herlp but a least chuckle whenever I see this, either in person or in pictures. Enjoy!! 
haha nice arrangement. i like your homemade desk, and ive got the same headphones i beleive... aiwa hp-x222 right? ive had them for years, great sound for only 30 dollars, but i had to make a ghetto plug for it because the original got messed up and only put the sound through one of the sides, i just had to chop the plug off a set of junker headphones and splice it with the cord from my aiwa's, still have great sound!

Thanks for the comments, guys... And yes, I don't see going back to a crt anytime soon... My eyes feel so much better after long periods of pc use. Even with 120mhz refresh on other monitors, something about the flickering just gave me headaches. That and the room is 10 degrees cooler (3x 19" crt = oven).
The monitors are gone, stearnum. I had them for almost 3 years and they worked great the whole time...kept me tan too. I sold them to a friend for $250 for all three... Now I just gotta sell this Parhelia.

Penthouses are big, this is a pent-box. I make what I can of it, and I like it! btw, posting these work areas is really funny, get to see others' personalities in their space!
Here is mine, excuse the warped stitching, doesn't work well at close quarters...
workstation is an oldie, but still works great: piii 1GHz, asus cusl2-c, 512MB pc133 sdram, ati aiw radeon8500dv, creative tnt2 32mb (2nd monitor), cambridge soundworks magaworks thx 550, sblive 5.1 platinum, 2x wd caviar 80gb 8mb cache, pioneer dvdr, liteon 32x cdrw.
server: pii 400, 192mb ram - currently offline because the system disk tanked
Turntables are wired to the monitors (one in picture, one to left of picture) for just playing and also to the computer for recording. To the right (behind the desk lamp) is my fish tank, behind that book cases and a window that opens onto a rooftop.
In the life of a grad student, I took a b&w of my former quarters a few months ago:
It's a messy cube, but that's what you get when you live there for a while. I have since moved out (mostly)

What kind of tables you got there? They look black in color so my somewhat educated guess/high hopes would say that they are Technics 1210s. But i'm not too sure of that as the picture is fairly dark.
