I have a geforce 6600gt. How do i play a use one app on one monitor and another on another? They support the same thins res,and all.

enable nview. http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_8.html . This should add some buttons at the top of the app your using that you can use to send it to the second monitor, or you could manually drag it there. However, using a fullscreen app (IE a game) will pretty much lock your mouse to one monitor, and if you do manage to get it free, clicking on the second desktop will minimize the fullscreen app.

PS. theres also 3rd party software you can use to mangae multiple monitors like Ultramon.

I'd give Ultramon a try. I use it regularly and it allows you some additional flexibility with multiple monitors.

So i just clikc nview and select to send it to that monitor? What do i need to change in my properties?

How do you add a specific item to the desktop?
Like the guides says to ADD.But i dont see it?

if you mean putting a window in the second monitor, just drag it over. Then you can maximize it there if you need to.

No like a specific program/app/game when clicked to be use on that monitor only

And - there are certain things that will only work in the primary display - like most games. They start in maximized mode and will usually bark if you try to move it manually to another machine.. Try playing around with it.

Speaking of dual-monitors (and to me for derailing this thread) I've heard it is possible to have an Nvidia card run three monitors: One Primary, One Secondary and One (on the tv-out) cloning either the primary or secondary. Is this still possible? If so, it would be VERY useful :)

I dont think you can do that, but I can see where that might be nice...

you definately cannot. I tried dual monitors + my tv via Svideo and it didnt work since the nvidia control panel only gives you the option of using 2 monitors. Also, cloning between my monitor and tv slowed down my gaming a good bit.

You see, I've tried that too. I'm just running off of a rumor that there is a registry addition/hack or some homebuuilt software that allows three monitors. What I was told is that older cards (so, maybe, newer ones) have the capability of supporting three, but only two seperate images, with one cloned. We all know that the NV control panel supports two, i'm just asking if anyone's heard the same thing as me.
