2/10 - 560ti - Upcoming Newegg Shellshocker

This better be well under $200 like $150-$175 considering you can get a new one for $210. Otherwise it isn't worth it.

As far as whether a refurb unit is good. Its likely going to be a crap shoot depending on what was wrong with the card in the first place. Hence the 90 day warranty (assuming I don't see that info).

If its more then $150 its not any sort of a deal. PNY is a pretty generic board partner that almost exclusively uses reference designs and offers mildly overclocked cards. I've owned a couple of cards from them and never had any issues.

a few years ago, the only video card i would be would be refurb/open box, the last one (that i am still using...) is an x1950gt, still running smooth. i have never had to return refurb/open box items from newegg save for one motherboard. I think a lot of it is user's that don't know PRECISELY what they are doing and can't get a part to work and send it back.

This is a really good deal. If I were looking for a video card, I'd be all over this.

It will be 160 minus 15 percent if you have the email coupon.

It's 159.99. Newegg sends me a daily "Shellshocker Preview" email.

Yep, and as I said, there's a 15% coupon if you received it that will stack on this, making it around $136 with that.

Oh, that's right. I have that coupon as well. Now I really can't decide whether to buy this or wait for Kepler and the rest of the 7000 series.

You could probably buy this and resale it at a similar price point to what you paid for if you wish to own a better card down the line.

Yeah, I'm thinking that as well. I also don't think that Kepler/Southern Islands will offer the kind of value that this deal does, at least not for a long time.
