Well, I bit. $250 is a lot of $, but this sub will pay for itself. Heck, just upgrading a couple of my machines to Office 2007 from 2003 about covered it.

As has been stated all the XP, Office 07, and Vista downloads and keys are all retail versions.(with the exception of Vista Enterprise)

I found this part of the Technet FAQ interesting

Q: After my Subscription expires can I still download products and claim product keys?

A: Only Subscribers with active subscriptions can download products and claim product keys, so you will not be able to download products after your Subscription has expired.

You will be able to view Product Keys you had claimed while your Subscription was active, but you will not be able to claim new keys. In order to access your prior claimed keys, you will have to Sign in to Live ID using the account and Subscription information that you had used to access your subscription benefits and claim those keys.

All the keys have been changed to invalidate them. I could just as easily just blindly type out something like A873M-KREKR-HO694-MRTJ4-54U4H and it'd be just as accurate, and just as invalid.

Plus, the keys I changed aren't even my active account's, but the dead Pilot Plus one's, which was cancelled anyway. I'm not going to risk any of my usable keys.

If a mod doesn't like it, they can easily delete the offending material, but it's effectively useless gibberish.



As to the point, earlier in the thread, people were arguing about 10 keys per product, or 1 key multiple times. I simply edited the list of keys I downloaded so I wouldn't be posting valid keys (as I'm not a fan of piracy), and put them up to give an example of what programs gave 10 keys, what gave 1 key, etc.

Mostly, the point was to show that some had 10 keys, some had a single one. Also, it showed some of the products that used a single, and some that used multiple keys.

You typically get 10 keys for each software, and even each sub-version of it. For example, Vista Business, Home Premium, and Ultimate are all different versions, so you get 10 keys for each. You get a single key for WHS which I think is multiple-use.

Being in IT for years, and I'm just now finding out about this? How did I miss it? I've always associated technet with something that was purchased by my company to be used internally. It'll include all stuff released when your membership is active. So, yes.

And yes, you get 10 retail keys: so yes.

TechNet has downloads from a crap ton of languages...

As for the Office 2010 website, no idea. Good question. I can't find any set dates online other than "2010".
