While we wait for the mythical 10,000 MT/s parts from Micron, G.SKILL has introduced 7000 MT/s DDR5 memory that will be actually usable in your PC. With a CAS latency of 40 it brings latency down to 11.43 ns...
Worked on my brother's 2700X + Asus X470 Pro (latest bios). The memory won't run at the actual rated speed of 3200, but it will run one under or one OVER. G.Skill TridentZ 14-14-14-34 (Samsung B die), in ANY of the following configurations same results as below: 2x8, 4x8, 2x16.

Computer modder, Twitch streamer, and long time Hardocp member Elmnator has just validated his system with an Intel Core i9-9900K running at 5.44GHz, and 16GB of G.Skill DDR4 running at 4334MHz with CAS 18 timings. Elmnator hit those numbers with a MSI MEG Z390 GODLIKE motherboard, an NVIDIA RTX...
I've got the DDR3 G.Skill Trident X 2x8GB 2133Mhz.
All I've done is set XMP and the last timing from 2T to 1T.
I'd like to squeeze some more speed out of them but I don't know anything about timings and what they can/should be at certain frequencies.
I don't know if its easier to increase...
T-FORCE VULCAN & G.SKILL Flare X AM4 Overclocking
We take a look at some of the new RAM available for the AMD Ryzen AM4 platform and see how well these work out when it comes to overclockability and timing tweaking. On the test bench today are the Team T-FORCE VULCAN TUF Gaming Alliance and...

Replacing an old PC that's about 8 years old!
Combination Work/Gaming PC with lots of multi-thread multitasking.
Time to give Team Red a try - competition is good and I think Zen+ on a X470 board is about as future-proof as things go right now. I thought about the ASRock Tachi MB, but IMHO...
Hi.
I just ordered the TridentZ RGB DDR4 32GB (16x2) clocked at 2400Mhz.
I will be using this with Ryzen 7 2700x and X470 motherboard.
Now my question is if I overclock the RAM 3000Mhz will the performance be same as buying 3200Mhz or 3000Mhz RAM?
or
Should I buy RAM with faster clock speed...
New system build about to happen. This one is kind of special: first AMD build since my 1400MHz Thunderbird build in 1999, so we're splurging [yes, 1800X is a waste of money] due to nostalgia.
Specs:
Ryzen 1800X (OCed to whatever I can get long-term stable @ ~1.35) on water
32GB Trident Z RGB...
