Not sure how hot this is but it is a pretty nice collection of mp3's. These are popular video game music songs produced by the London Philharmonic. They are fairly high quality, well worth a low $3.

Amazon has the mp3 album download for $2.99 and there is a $1.00 mp3 promo code.

Enjoy

Got the tweet this morning, awesome music, listening to it now.

The previews sounded good but for the most part I haven't played any of these games and only a few actually sounded familiar to me. But for $1.99 why not.

Pretty sweet, though I've only played around half of those games. Thrilled to see FF8 on the list. It seems like Zelda could have been an album of its own with all of the songs from those games (mostly Ocarina of Time).

Just finished downloading it myself. Good stuff....

Thanks! I hadn't even noticed this album was so cheap, no brainer for $2.

Many thanks, well worth the $2. I'm listening to it now at work and having all sorts of great nostalgia...It's gonna be a productive day

Kind of a miss to not have Baba Yetu from Civilization IV in there. I mean it is only the first ever Grammy award winning video game music....

That wouldn't have given the London Philharmonic Orchestra much to do though. 90% of that song is vocals, two drums, and what sounds like a tambourine.

Over? Link gives $5.99 as price now. Coupon still valid looks like.

yup the BF2 Theme is totally the best song on there... reminds me of the good old days of gaming...

Diablo's Tristram could and should of made it on that list Orchestra version of that would be hot. They could of left out Final Fantasy and added this in because Final Fantasy already has many orchestra versions of every song.

it lets you preview all the songs online and they are quite good though i know only 8 of them and for me at least the best part of video game music is the nostalgia that comes with it.

I'd say worth it.

Darn, it's showing $5.99 minus the 1 off code, still gonna grab it I think though :p.

Yeah sorry, looks like they increased the price now to $5.99. No longer $2.99. :(

This deal was posted this like 3 days ago so.... ;)

It's all your fault!!!!!!! :p

LOL thanks for the post though, I didn't know this existed :D.

Angry Birds isn't an orchestral piece either.... It isn't hard to adapt it, it would have still been awesome.

Woulda' been cool to hear CivIV's opening orchestralized. (That's a word now, I swear.) Instrumentalized? Whatever.

But on the whole, a pretty good album. I was cracking huge grins while driving when the Zelda theme came up; same with Mario and Tetris. :3

Ty. Paid 6 bucks. well worth it!

EDIT: Day of defeat opening track would've been awesome

Pathetic excuse for the "greatest video game music". At least they didn't say "Of all time".

Lets be honest though, they put that compilation together to sell, and I'm sure it sold!
