For around 75$ what would sound better? More expensive 2.1 speakers or cheaper 5.1 speakers?

so i'll have good connection for like 2 minute and then a sudden spike. normally this isn't a problem, but when i'm playing online games i get sudden packet loss/lags for like 5 seconds and end up being killed :( how can i fix this? or what is the problem?

just wondering those of you with 7800gt whats the performance like on your cards? if i run in 1280x1024 with everything turned on high quality nvidia cp and high detail in game i can only run 4xaa with 60fps, if i go up to 8xaa it drops down to 20-30 is this normal? am i underperforming?
