After a fresh install of XP, my onboard NF4 LAN is not recognized. This has happened before, but it was recognized after reinstalling XP again. I do not wish to do that... Currently I am using a Dlink adapter, but I wish my onboard was found, so I could use my adapter elsewhere.

Can bad memory simulate bad harddrives? Is it possible that the memory is only slightly bad and it casues little curruptions that add up in the end?

I'm running SP2 and When I click Turn of this Computer, it will sometimes not come up, so I'll hit the power button on the computer. Shutdown will start, but "Windows is shutting down" may never disappear as if it is frozen. WTF? I don't understand why my computer doesn't want to shutdown...
