I upgraded to the newest BIOS 4805. It flashed ok and I restored all my settings. Everything works fine accept I have one LED lit up under the IO panel that should be off. I have Aura set to always off. Anyone else have a similar experience?
I've tried google and searching here but can't really understand the breakout in the image below for my Asus Crosshair Dark Hero VIII. Currently I have a 3090 installed and one WD SN850X in the M.2_1 slot. I have two WD Blue 2.6" SSDs attached to SATA ports. I have W11 on the NVME of course and...
Hey all, I am selling an aquacomputer high flow next. Please note that this flow meter exhibits a ticking sound about 50% power and above on my D5 pump. Aquacomputer sent me a new one and didn't have a problem with me selling this one as long as I'm up front with the buyer. Additionally it will...
I have a dark rock 4 for sale; it cooled my 5800x3d well before going water cooling. I would typically land mid 70s while gaming, low 40s high 30s while idle/browsing.
So I purchased some 180 degree adapters to clean up the 8 pin cables on my 3090 and I checked continuity. All the grounds are connected together and all the 12 V are connected together. I don't have an issues with the grounds all being connected, but seems odd that the 12Vs are all connected. Is...
Thank you for this. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade so I have quite I but of experience with PID feedback loops. I'll check it out and see how she does. Really appreciate all the detailed info you've provided.
Furthermore, I just realized I've been looking at Tctl/Tdie for reported temp on CPU and I should be looking at Tdie on Ryzen. So... my CPU idles way lower than I thought. I think im happy with this. Thank you everyone for your feedback and help.
Thanks for the info. I will do some longer testing to make sure. If I run the pump over 50%, the flow meter makes an awful ticking sound. I've reached out to Aquacomputer and am waiting to hear back about a replacement. I will try higher pump speeds once I get a replacement.
I've been out of the game for awhile, so I'm not sure what's what. I read 40C on coolant is a little high, so I'm not sure if 36 is pushing up too close to that. I do have acrylic tubing, so I think it can handle more, but just checking to see what anyone with more experience might think.
Hello again,
I just finished installing water cooling kit on my PC and was wondering if these temps look acceptable and if there is anything I can do to improve them if not. Delta T maxed at 12.8C, water temp maxed at 36.1C. This is an hour or so of gaming.
Hello fine people. I was wondering if there are any AquaSuite experts that might be able to lend me some advice. I've searched the interwebs and I cannot find a way to create an Alarm state on my Octo (that is controlling my lighting) that is based on flow from my newly installed High Flow Next...
Posting an update on this build. It's finally done. After several years of sitting on parts I worked up the courage to take a stab at it. I have to say I have incredible respect for any one who has gone the hard tubing route. This was WAY harder than I thought. But I'm glad to say it's finally...
This has kind of been my experience so far, and 1500% agree, whea errors blow. My benchmark scores have gone up from fine tuning everything ,but I haven't noticed much in game, if anything maybe some more consistency in frames making things feel a bit smoother. PBO negative offset does seem to...
DOCP on my kit is 4000 and it boots fine and seems to run fine, but whea-19s all over. I am working my way through this guide now. Each step I keep seeing improvements, so I probably won't worry about 1T vs 2T.
I am working my way through tightening timings right now, here is where I am at. Congrats on 1T. I couldn't get it to post with 1T so far. Might try some tweaks at the end once I get timings dialed in.
I am putting up for sale my 5800X since I upgraded to the X3D version. Asking $170 shipped to lower 48 states F&F Paypal. This processor ran -15 all core PBO except for one core at -8, and 3800/1900 MCLK/FCLK perfectly stable, no extra SOC voltage needed to achieve FCLK. Was air cooled with...
Well it seems that 1900IF is a hole and everything above that throws whea-19s, so I am going to stick with 3600CL14 with no whea-19s I guess. Timings are pretty tight, so i think I am happy for now. Need to see how low I can go on PBO now.
Ok, i turned PBO off and reran, still getting whea-19s. I've tried dropping frequencies down to 1966/3933, 1933/3866, and 1900/3800. I whea-19 at the first two steps down and can't POST regardless of voltage settings at 1900/3800, guess I have a memory hole there, which sucks. I really don't...
So I recently bought a 5800X3D to replace my 5800X. I have successfully booted into Windows 11 with 2000 MCLK/FCLK, -20 PBO2 CO, but I am getting some whea errors when running Aida64 cache and benchmark which has always been my go to to see those errors quickly. Any Idea on how to fix that? Just...
Surprised at the amount of negativity in this thread. I was pleasantly surprised with everything I saw in the trailer. Looks to be a lot of fun, as someone said, looks to be what star citizen originally set out to be but with more RPG elements.
Going custom loop and adding the 3090. Have blocks from Optimus, have had them for a long time actually, just nervous about doing it. It will be my first time with hard loop, but not my first watercooling experience.
So as someone who mainly games on a 5800x I'm kind of gathering that this isn't the greatest upgrade in the world due to the loss of clockspeed? I am currently air cooled but will be going with a custom loop soon. What do you all think? Worth it or just stick with what I got. Will probably not...
I don't think it discolors, I think it turns clear. I don't have any videos to link, but I remember seeing people "add" the satin finish back by using fine sand paper afterwards on the area that turned clear from the heat
