I used the DeusEx Fixxer 1.1 and that seemed to fix everything. Not sure which renderer it is using, but 16x12 32 bit color looks good...

Update... I tried the original PS in another computer and it works fine, so my conclusion is that the board is dead. Everything looks good- no leaking or bulging caps, no obvious burn marks, etc. Oh well. Instead of trying to find another 939 board, I think I will just sell off the processor...

Well, he really needs to try another agp card to make sure that the slot isn't bad. The V5's are the old single notch cards that theoretically won't fit in the newer slot, but I still think that it is worth trying another card.

9600 GSO's can be bought very cheap too. Get the older 384 MB version. Lot of card for the money if you find a used one.
