Just picked up Farcry at Fry's for $29.99....cant beat that! Wish me luck with patching, I may cry if the patch doesnt fix it. =p

The 66.81 drivers fixed the problem with Doom3 not responding when I exit. Farcry demo runs nows, but the water effects arent working, everything else is.

Thanks, I didnt know Nvidia didnt post the newest drivers. Thats kinda odd. So im guessing guru3d.com is best place for 'em?

Noticed a few problems so far. I've been playing Doom 3 and all the outdoor environments have a black "fog"...cant see 1 foot in front of myself. Not sure why its doing that, but I turned on VSync and 4X AA and it went away....nother thing is the game stops responding everytime I go to exit out...

I just picked up a PNY GeForce 6800 GT, I'm probably going to pick up the Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU. 480W is sufficient I'm assuming?

I just picked up the PNY GeForce 6800 GT. I feel I need a new power supply. Was thinking of buying the 480W Antec PS, unfortunately the 550W is sold out around here and I need it asap =/. Do you guys think the 480W will be sufficient for my system? I'm running: P4 2.4ghz Northwood Shuttle...

Anyone using a Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP-939 MB? Looking to switch from my P4 to an AMD64. Heard Gigabyte makes a very solid MB, figured I'd get your opinions. Also saw the GA-K8NS Ultra-939 MB. Less expensive, but specs look identical.

Debating on installing Windows SP2 for XP. I've heard that SP2 causes alot of problems for online gaming. Especially with the firewall. I play alot of online games like EverQuest. Whats your opinion on SP2 for an online gamer?

Hehe, problem is the card I have now is the Radeon x800 Pro....which I think is inferior. So getting an exchange from the ATI to the GeForce without the receipt should be interesting. =/ Just incase I will be pickin up an Antec 480W PS when I try to exchange =p

I checked on outpost.com, I've got the $59.99 Aspire Acrylic 500watt power supply. Cant be horrible. I called BFG again tonite, the tech said he doubted it was the power supply, because I would have still seen the windows start up screen regardless if the video card didnt have enough power...

I was running a GeForce 3 Ti200, I'm not sure which nvidia drivers I was using. They were current as of August, so fairly new drivers.

That is what my BFG Card did out of the box, plugged it in and screen went all crazy. Looks like I might need a new power supply.
