I want to connect my Wii to my Dell 2007WFP's VGA input. As far as I know these are my best options:
vdigi wii to vga cable
OR
vdigi component to vga transcoder
What is the difference in quality between these two options?
I was leaning more towards the transcoder because I can...
Mine is a rev A04, and the aspect option is there, but no 4:3. Maybe the options change based on what kind of cable you use. Maybe only DVI has aspect and VGA has 4:3.
The best thing for me to use would be the HDMI out on the Elite and then use an HDMI to DVI cable, right? Would the...
I am not talking about 1:1.
There are three settings on the "display settings" menu: 1:1, Aspect, and Fill.
1:1 should put the exact resolution (pixel for pixel) on the screen with a black box surrounding the image.
Aspect should maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio of 1280x720, but fill the...
So aspect mode doesn't work? When I use that for standard resolutions (like 1280x1024) it puts black bars on the sides.
I don't like just filling the screen because I can really notice the stretching.
I want to get an xbox 360 elite, and I want to know if I will be able to use my 2007WFP with good results.
Can the 2007WFP maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio and fill the screen, but have black bars on the top and bottom? Can it also do 1:1 pixel mapping for the 1280x720 resolution of the xbox 360?
BF2 runs great now, other than the occasional annoying glitch that the game is know for.
I didn't have a can of air handy, so I just closed my eyes and blew on it. :)
I cleaned it out, and now the idle temp is at 58C. There were a few spots where the heat sink was clogged with dirt. I'll see if it still slows down in BF2.
Thanks.
When my 6800GT is idling it is at 63C. Is this normal?
When I play BF2, after a couple of rounds I start getting massive slow-down. Could it be over-heating?
Trust me, dell cuts cost on a lot of things, but they don't always advertise it. You have to look for it.
For example, you may think you are getting a 8600GT with DDR3 memory, but dell is actually using DDR2 memory in those cards, hence a price reduction. When I ordered my 1520, I did not...
I was reading a thread about that, and apparently people are saying that the 1520/1420 have grainy screens, but I also saw that the Asus G1S and the MBP have the same problem.
I hope my 1520 is ok. It is on the way now, and should be here on Monday.
That would be me, but I ordered a 1520, not a 1420, and I ordered the 1680x1050 resolution which I guess is not as popular for that laptop. I don't know why.
Your laptop doesn't output watts, it consumes them. lol
Just look on the AC power adapter that came with it and get a car adapter that matches or exceeds the watt rating. Make sure the voltage and current ratings match too.
I got black because I will be using this laptop for work and school, and I didn't want something too flashy for work. :)
I might have gotten green or blue if they were darker colors.
Does this mouse work with internal bluetooth in a laptop?
I know it has a USB receiver, but it operates at 2.4 GHz, which is also the bluetooth frequency. I just didn't see anything that said bluetooth.

Mine ships on August 3rd, but there was no indication when I ordered it about delays. Although, the lower res screens (1440x900) had a note under them that said they may be delayed.
I want to know how you think this will compare in performance to my current desktop. Would there be a noticeable difference in gaming performance?
Inspiron 1520 specs:

I just ordered the 1520 with that express card. Apparently the order says it is a Soundblaster X-Fi sound card that goes in the express slot.

I do get a discount through my school, and I got vista ultimate for $20.
However, the Inspiron 1520 looks better price and performance wise.
One question about the sound card for the 1520:
I have the option to choose this:
Integrated Sound Blaster® AudigyHD Software Edition
OR...
Yeah, I actually just spec'd out a 1520 for about $1800, and an added benefit is the 1680x1050 resolution. The dell is looking better now. I don't think I would use mac OSX much anyway.
How can I get this $300 coupon.
I have never heard of Vostros from dell...
I was considering getting either the 15.4" MBP or the Dell m1330. I can get a student discount through my college for the MBP or the Dell, but the discount I get for the $1999 MBP brings the price to $1799. This is a much better deal in terms of price compared to a similarily spec'd m1330...
That C90 is flipping awesome!
I got one spec'd at $1,641.00 that is better than the G1, and already have vista ultimate (got it for $20 :D).
My only concern is the battery life. How long is it supposed to last (typically)? I saw it on GenTech and it doesn't give you an option to upgrade...

I am thinking about upgrading my processor, and I heard that the Operton 185 Denmark is the best I can get for my 939 motherboard.

Ok, well I am not completely set on the m1210, I also like the ASUS G1.

Will this be better than my desktop?
So the dual core Pentium vs my AMD single core won't make much difference in games?
What about DDR2 vs my PC3200 desktop memory?
What video card would I need to look for in a laptop to surpass the performance of my 6800GT?
I want to get an m1210, but I was wondering how this would run games compared to my desktop setup.
m1210:
