For a budget board you cannot complain. I got mine from the egg for $59 ar. I figure I'll let it ride like this for a couple weeks then see how high it can go.
I've had the E6420 for a while but I had it paired with the ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA so that I could upgrade slowly. I was never able overclock this chip at all on that board without constant crashing. I just got the IP35-E with an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and installed everything over the...
Thanks. I just saw that ASRock mb. It looks perfect for a piece meal upgrade path. I can replace one thing at a time then get a real nice mb to tie all the new stuff together.
I'm still running an overclocked Athlon XP 2500+ and want to upgrade to something better but can't afford to spend much. I have a 7800gs agp card and 2 gigs of Kingston HyperX and was wondering if there was a MB solution out there that would allow me to use these and upgrade to a dual core...
So after a few days of playing with this monitor, I love it more then the first day! I have no dead pixels, no banding that I can see and backlight bleed is minimal (just a little in the corners). I have hooked my PS2, GC and Xbox up to it through component and S-vid and they look good enough...
I picked this up today too and I got to say I'm pretty impressed! This is my first lcd so I'm no expert but the color is great, it's very bright (haven't turned it down yet), and my card can keep up pretty well (x800xt). I'm satisfied with the inputs as well. My PS2 hooked up through S-Video...
Anyone ever tried hooking up a PS2 to it? I know it won't be great but is it playable? My wife and kids take up all the TVs in the house and my office is the only "safe" place!
So, is the banding issue fixed on this monitor? I've been hearing from some people that it's still there. Is this something that I would even notice? I mostly game, surf and work. My work is mostly staring at Excel files and using a web based database. I do minimal photo editing (touching up...
Any chance of getting some original Xbox or PS2 screenshots? I just saw this monitor at Crap USA and it looked fantastic. It was right next to the Viewsonic VX2025 and it looked MUCH better! Plus all the inputs (as long as they look pretty good) make this much more attractive even at the higher...
Thanks for the responses. Yeah, I kind of figured that an amp wouldn't help but I just thought I'd ask some people who actually knew something about this stuff. I guess I'll just have to go spend some money. I'm asuming from some of the other threads that the X-Fi comes pretty highly...
I'm pretty happy with the Syberias as long as you are using them for gaming. Music isn't to bad but nothing special. By the way, they are about $10 cheaper almost everywhere else. I got mine from Amazon (J&R).
Sorry if this is a totally lame question but I'm a total noob to this and was wondering if it is even worth it to add an amp to my system. I'm using Icemat Syberia cans and a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. I was thinking about trying to build a CMoy but if it would not make any difference...
Really...who cares anymore? In the amount of time this has taken, most of my hair has turned grey. It'll probably all fall out before the game actually comes out! :(
And do you think that they will lower the price on the games due to the increase in revenue they will be getting from "Mind-fucking" us...NOOOOO! As a matter of fact, let's raise the price on games! I love paying more for commercials!
My rig:
Athlon XP 3200+
Abit NF7-S v2.0
512Mb OCZ 3200
ATI 9700 pro
WD 120GB SATA + 80GB WD SE ATA
I'm hoping to update the card soon and up the mem to 1024. We'll see how long that takes though.
Everyone seems to be forgetting one other IMPORTANT thing. I'm playing Farcry on medium settings at 800x600 and still getting crappy FPS. D3 is able to run smooth at 1024x768 on HIGH settings! Both games are fantastic but you have to give the nod to D3 for coming up with a way to render such...
