    NEC-20WGX2 new SIPS wide monitor

OMG what is this? A new SIPS panel (6ms GtG , 12ms) or the same one as Dell2005fpw? Update: I found a pdf but not at the NEC site. http://www.mentor-distribution.com/pdfs/nec/lcd/lcd-20wgx2.pdf At the NEC site I only found a press release for the GX2 series mentioning that this monitor...

New Viewsonic widescreens announced at CES

That 1ms is something we need to see to believe it :) But that 2035wm for around 450$ would be very nice :) Both anounced monitors (2035wm and the 23" one) have 8bit panels. Just look at the viewing angles, if its 170 or greater eg.PVA or MVA matrices then it's sure an 8bit.

New Viewsonic widescreens announced at CES

VX2025wm and VP2330wb. For the time being it looks that the recently announced 2022w TN panel 3ms was canned or being refined. Instead they introduce an 8ms one ( 2025wm) which I presume has an MVA panel looking at its viewing angle. Press release at ...

LCD Panels with overdrive ...at xbitlabs.com

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/other/display/response-compensation.html Although a bit technical it gives you a good understanding of overdrive. My opinion is that our eyes give the best response time measurement.

When will we see some really good LCD's ?

Of course you are correct i should rephrase it to "when will I see". And the stats I would like to see are as I already said in the top of the post 24bit color, more than 160/160 angle of view and 12ms or less response time not just for white/black transitions . :) :) :)

When will we see some really good LCD's ?

You are right the Dell2001FP is a step towards the right direction. Iam interested more in FFD tech which was announced back in 2001 and promised responses times less than 10ms and max 20ms. This is the only article I found which points to a second generation FFD...

When will we see some really good LCD's ?

Does anyone have info on when will we see some really good LCD's ,such as ones with viewing angles of at least 160/160, 24bit color and response time 12ms or less? I know several LCD's were released (Dell 2001FP, Samsung 172X, Viewsonic VP171B etc) that nearly made it to be the one but had one...
