OMG what is this?
A new SIPS panel (6ms GtG , 12ms) or the same one as Dell2005fpw?

Update: I found a pdf but not at the NEC site.
http://www.mentor-distribution.com/pdfs/nec/lcd/lcd-20wgx2.pdf

At the NEC site I only found a press release for the GX2 series mentioning that this monitor will be available in 2006.

1600:1 with advanced DV mode? If this LCD is around the price of the Gateway or even cheaper im dropping cash for it.

I wonder if this one has the first SIPS panel with overdrive.
Looking forward for the reviews :)

NECs and Sonys are usually at the top of the price range. But they're serious about making some nice looking displays. They usually look better in-person than what the specs suggest.

Why oh why can't these manufacturers follow Gateway and Dell's lead and throw a little HDCP action on their new products? I plan on using my wide-screen for several things and, like it or not, HDCP is going to be needed for HD media on Blu-ray and HD-DVD.

gateway does have a monitor with HDCP, the FPD2185

I think you misread his post. :p He acknowledged that Gateway and Dell are starting to implement HDCP into their LCD's.
