I'm trying to setup a newly built system and while installing the OS (windows XP) I received the above message. I rebooted and after a few auto checks by the disk I got the same message. At this point I'm at at loss. This is a first for me. Any help?

It's not the cable. I've used them both with the one drive that is working. Any other ideas? I'm running out.

Thanks for the info and sorry for the delay in my responce. I've been away from the computer. I tried cs when they were both running but not with only. However, I did try running one of the alone as the master. As far as the power goes it should be ok but I'll check. Thanks

I'm tyring to hook up the HDD Led, Power Switch, ... and the only indication for polarity on some of the wires is an "S". Does this stand for Positive or Negative? I've heard that for some things it doesn't matter but I'm sure it makes a difference on some of these switches. Thanks.
