Thanks for all of the quick responses. I went into msconfig and unchecked the SAFEBOOT option and that did the trick. I honestly don't know what Id do without you guys :)

My computer is running Windows 7 64 bit. I wanted to run some of the older screen savers like "Johnny Castaway" or "Starfield", but was informed that they are so old that they wont run on the computer I have.
Does anyone here have a link to some good screen savers I could take a look at?

When I plug it in to the computer, it makes a little "ding" noise to let me know that the computer has made the connection, only the icon wont show on the screen and the LEDS alternate blinking every minute or so. If the power supply was bad, nothing would work at all correct?
I have an External Hard drive that I had for a very long time. Today when I plugged it into my computer, I cannot get the access icon to show up on my screen. I haven't dropped it or anything, not does it appear to be damaged in any way. I can hear the motor running inside, and there are two...

It seems like all of the new computers on the market are coming with Windows 10 factory installed. I personally dislike Windows 10 and would like to run a lower version like windows 8.1. If I buy a new computer and over write Windows 10 with 8.1, this should cause no harm correct?
They both take a very long Tim to move from screen to screen. After deeply considering what all of you have said, along with the fact that BOTH of these systems are over 4 years old, it may simply be tie that I replaced both computers.
