Hi,
I looking for a new router to route my ADSL connection.
I was looking on ebay and found several "used" cisco equipment. Now i don't really know wich router to buy.
I have a ADSL (RJ11) modem (external) with a RJ-45 connection. Now wich router can i buy for my setup?
I'm looking...
Well i sure crimped a bunch, but it does take a while for one ;)
Yeah, i've been living here for whole my life now.. it's nice to see another Belgian ;) Where do you live now if i may ask?
It's possible under some circumstances. Eg: if your switch supports trunking. I dunno if you can combine two ethernet ports with different chips (afaik the dfi has a nvidia and realtek ethernet chip)
It's called trunking ... you could always google it for your board, but i don't believe it'll...
Yeah it is :) for both questions :p Ofcourse you could run eg. fiber in your house. Ofcourse it's a hell of a lot more expensive but yeah, it's for looks, and for nice pictures in this thread ;)
It isn't exactly done in a couple minutes when you are experienced at all. I suggest reading some...
Well yeah, it depends from place to place.. :)
Winamp controlled with a finger :p well it can be used for anything. It was very cheap ($125) so i bought. I mostly use it more as a second monitor, or to watch movies on my bed. Work great, although it's a bit too little
Here's my renewed room:

when one full duplex lan cable gives you 100 mbit, what do you get when you connect 2 or more cables to one pc ? Right, 200 mbit or more.
So 4 cables = 400 mbit connection. That is trunking. Only more "expensive" switches support it.
