So, I decided for my family's new "office PC" to go with the Dan A4 (v4) since my wife and I love minimalism in the office. The parts shopping journey has begun as the case arrived this afternoon. Any gotchas, nice-to-knows, etc. I should know about before doing my research and ordering parts?

Thanks for the suggestions. It turned out the USB port I was using for the controller had a screwed up driver. Windows couldn't figure out the problem was with the USB while the adapter was plugged in. Once I unplugged the dongle, the real problem surfaced and it was an easy fix.

I have played the first one multiple times, and I agree with you. Also, for those wondering, there is a mod for COH1 that lets you scrimmage with modern day military equipment. Check it out: Modern Combat I'm so on the fence about COH2 because reviews and opinions are all over the reservation.

Interesting...are those three modes alone worth it then? Also, is it possible to get all of the achievements without playing multiplayer? I'm okay if there are, but only if their easily obtaining like play xx number of matches, etc. I've become an achievement whore in my old age :(.

So I used the 4+4 connector for the motherboard; however, I don't think the 8-pin coming from the PSU is meant for a GPU. The connections look different from the images I've seen of GPU connection points. Am I just seeing things? Or are there different types of 8-pin connections from a PSU...

Thanks for sharing that. I guess I never really looked into using the 4+4 for the m/b. The manual for my m/b just mentions using an 8-pin connector (not specific about 4+4, 6+2, or straight 8). I'll re-open my case tonight and plug the 4+4 into the m/b...then the straight 8-pin will be freed...

So there is an 8-pin already part of the PSU, but its powering the motherboard. There is also a 4+4-pin coming from the PSU, which is not hooked in. Can I use this 4+4 for the GPU or the motherboard? Am I back to my original thought, using a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter? Thanks again for all the help.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look again at my PSU, but I didn't see any 8-pin connectors. Also, I swear it wasn't fully modular when I bought it...there were 3 main cables that were "part of the unit" and 2 extra 6-pin slots that were modular.

Are the menus more wheel/pedal and/or controller friendly than they were? I understand its simulation and wants people to play with wheel/pedal setups, but even with those, the menus are clunky and still require a mouse.

Well, I finally picked up the game today. Also got a few amiibos...Fox, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Kirby. I haven't "connected" any of the amiibos yet, but from what I've played of the game, its very polished. My son and I have enjoyed our battles.
