lenovo website is more expensive, basically same price as other retailers but with only 1x 750 video card. Unless I'm missing something, that is the price i've been getting from them.
I'm really close to pulling the trigger on a Lenovo y510p from xoticpc. The specs: core i7 4th gen 4700mq, 8gb ddr3, 2x gt 750m nvidia graphics. I live in california, so I have to consider taxes and shipping for final costs.
Xoticpc - $1099, free shipping, no sales tax
amazon - $1063, free...
Sorry but don't mean to threadjack, but are there any good deals going on for the y510p models? Specifically the one with 8gb memory, and dual 750 nvidia cards. cheapest I found it was on xoticpc, for 1099, no tax and free shipping to california ( where i'm at). Newegg and amazon has it for...
mostly just Heroes of newerth, LoL, Dota 2. Im pretty set on the y510 or y510p. Anyone know of a place i can score a good deal on one, or any coupon codes for the lenova website?
I need some opinions on a new gaming laptop. I see a lot of good things about the y500, but my question is are there anything else that might compare for around this price range? Also hear good things about the Sagers/clevo's. I'm looking for:
15-17 inch
good display quality
1920x1080...
Im not really sure if the gpu was overheating. Everything seemed to work fine for years. Just tried and turn it on one morning and it just didn't work.
So recently my m15x died, i think its the motherboard but wanted to get more opinions. I can confirm the cpu, memory, and hard drive is all good. The issue is it doesn't turn on at all. The charger lights up, so I think thats good. I tested the processor, memory, and hard drive in another...
gtx 560m is freaking $$$$. I think i'll just stick with the gtx 260m. The rest of the system isn't that great, just an i7 720qm, 4gb ddr 1333, ect ect..... a gtx 560m would be bottlenecked by that processor
thanks man, i called them as well and it does come with it. Now my next question does it matters if its refurb of not? that one is gonna cost me $20 less than the one you linked me, but its refurb and possibly not authentic dell.
as you can see my panel is fine, i just ripped off that connector accidentally. worst case is i end up having to just replace the whole thing. I really don't want to spend more than I need to
I accidently pulled off one of the soldered pieces connecting the power switch to the motherboard. So now I can't even power on my m15x. I have pictures but I have no clue how to upload it here. I was wondering where i could buy that piece online.
i'd be waiting for the haswells/new gpu's to come out before buying an alienware. I really want the M18x and don't mind the bigger size and weight. But is it worth the extra ~$500 that I would be spending is the real question.
thanks guys, i now have my heart set on a m18x. is there any major differences between the m18x and the m17x besides size and the dual cards in the m18x?
anyone else have any input? I'm leaning towards the alienware. I love the retina display on macbooks, which of these laptops have the closest picture quality to that of the macbook?
I'm in the market for a new gaming laptop. I'm considering the msi gt70, alienware m17x or m18x, and the asus g75. And I must buy by early July.
My questions are:
1. which one has the picture display.
2. which one has the best build quality.
3. which one has the least problems.
I rescently disassemble my machine to replace the LCD screen, and now some of the keys on my keyboard isn't working. Specifically the F8 key, 4, 5, 6 on the number pad, and the right arrow key. Plugging an external keyboard, everything works. I swapped keyboards with one on another g73 unit...
my 8600gt died so i'm looking for a cheap replacement. It's going into a box with an e6300 and 4gb of ddr2 ram. I don't need anything super high end, just enough to place games with descent frames without breaking the bank and bottlenecking the video card. LMK what you got shipped to 95212.
