This seems like a first meaningful step toward developing human HUD. No more search or asking others when you want to know what you're looking at. You'll just take a second to tap the collective digital memory of mankind. Paving the way to augmented reality.
As far as I'm concerned, ASUS has zero credibility with these new product launches until they get the damned T91 out the door and into my hands. They can announce whatever they want, but if it takes 9million years to become available, they're just pissing people off.
right. the problem is that science has concluded that gambling works on the same system as addictive substances, causing the same alterations in brain structure and function. so, for gambling addicts, the point is moot. a simple asskicking isn't enough. they too need a major medical...
yes. which is why i favor excise taxation as a matter of general policy. tax liquor, tax cigarretes, tax/legalize cocaine, meth, gambling, etc. and any other chemical or practice which falls under the scientifically established/proven definition of "addiction". We as a society already pay the...
I understand that individual investors also share in the revenue delivered by cutthroat labor tactics, but if you're honest with yourself, you'll keep in mind that the collective stake of "average joe" shareholders in these entities is a pittance in relation to that wielded by the elite. Your...
maybe we can use the revenue to pay the staggering social costs of broken families. oh wait... 50 billion is hardly even a downpayment for the economic devastation caused by gambling addiction. I'm all for liberty, I really am, and I see the merits of the whole "personal responsibility"...
Okay, two things jumped out at me right away that everybody seems to be ignoring.
Yes this guy is totally nuts. But is anyone else unsettled by the fact that the Feds had not only his identity but that of another random individual he phoned in an incredibly short time period? I mean, you...
this is no surprise. less full-timers=less benefits payout. Less benefit payout=increased profit. Every other retail entity is working to eliminate as many full time positions as possible. Why not Apple? People still end up working 40+ hours but they split it across 2-3 jobs. The...
first off, this guy is a total scumbag, and I'm glad he's been caught.
but wtf is up with the IT guy searching his computer for images/movies? what, was he just after the mayor's regular porn when he bumped into his stash of kiddie shit? while justice is indeed being served, isn't everyone...
IMHO nV just dropped the ball at a time when AMD is damn hungry for success in the graphics arena. They needed to maintain their lead and they blew it. Provided AMD can execute without some ridiculous delay fiasco, we may have a new leader this year.
I for one welcome our new graphics...
i think there's some confusion here... i think the "25 years" comment was referring to transformers and dead voice actors, not Duke.
speaking of Duke, I agree that folks need to stfu if they think that his voice doesn't sound right. That's classic Duke, and if you don't know just how very...
I keep thinking of that interview in "Jersey Girl" where the bigwigs just brought Ollie in on a bet to see if he was the same Oliver Trinke who pulled the "Fresh Prince". And then when he asks if they would let him work there, they just burst out laughing and shut him down.
Except in this...
hey i had this same problem going from single to dualie in vista.
IIRC, the way i fixed it was by going into device manager, expanding "+computer", and right-clicking "ACPI...". Left-click "update driver" on the popup menu, and select the search automatically option.
best of luck!
I've got a defective card from newegg, and I wanted to know where I should send it Newegg or EVGA. Shipping costs are a concern, so I wanted to know if anyone in the Northeast who has returned something to newegg could tell me if they make you send it all the way to California or if they have...

Just being facetious here, but if Team Fortress 2 is near release, and 3DRealms is sinking massive labor budget into DNF, then maybe...
IMHO this is just more evidence that we need a good old-fashioned GPU price war.
i know that in the long-term, narrower margins hurt innovation, but dammit, I miss the days when high-end was in the $299-349 range. WTF?
okay i've searched the [H], Creative's forums, and googled as well, and I can't get a clear picture of what the issues are surrounding eax support for Oblivion under vista.
is oblivion native directsound or native openAL? are we just waiting on creative to patch ALchemy to work with oblivion...
of course $349 is way over. IIRC, MSRP is supposed to be $299. IMHO CompUSA is gouging, but then again they're not exactly famous for low prices are they ;)
the important thing is that the existence of the 320mb variant has been proven, which means a reasonably priced G80 part is on its way...

If CompUsa is selling for $349 I think it's reasonable to assume we'll see this card for $299 online in the near future. w00t!
i agree with you right up to the point where you say AMD is trading lower than normal. imho they are overvalued right now because everyone thinks they have a bright future. my feeling is that intel stock will suffer until they have a good quarter, and then will shoot up like a rocket. AMD on...
they might get into trouble with that integrated memory controller, considering RAMBUS is on the warpath and winning. RAMBUS might be able to successfully get an injunction halting all DDR, DDR2, & DDR3 production. if that becomes the case, AMD will have wasted a lot of die space for nothing...
