Sorry I have to agree. My major hatred is the cheapo clips you mount the motherboard with. Everything else is pretty nice though. And yeah, I own not one, but two.

I've booted various athlon systems with the hsf resting on top of the cpu....well attempted to anyways. Won't boot without pressure so somewhat of the opposite problem. Have you tried bending your rentention mechanism to put less pressure on it?

Well I've got 2 Kodaks that will flash 3-4 times before a 5 second "processing" screen comes. I assume its charging as well. This Casio QV-R40 is pretty awesome except I can't overlook the HORRIBLE 7-9 second recharge time between shots. Leaning hard on the A70!

I'm stumped. Your memory should hit that fine at that voltage, more than easily. Its one of 3 things. Your cpu is near its limit. Your memory timings are too tight. Your cpu needs more voltage.

Sorry to say, that means nothing as far as max overclock. Every chip is unique. 3.1 is a little low. What are your voltages for RAM and CPU?

DO NOT get the palomino. With the newer cores you have no reason to. And if it doesn't say Tbred B do not get it. The A cores don't overclock all that well. Bartons are good. Not all that familiar with the Thorntons though.

Yup its an A. 2.4A prescott 533FSB w/o HT. Stupid I know. This A business started with the 2.8. There was no 2.8A so they named the prescott 533 no ht "A". Stupidity I know. Shoulda named it F for freaking stupid or failure.
