I did at first, but it quickly got to the point where the Hungarian notation named variables were lying to me. It also made a lot of stuff harder to read, which is the opposite of what it's meant to do.
That's what pretty much everyone around here seems to say. I've never read the guy's stuff, so I don't know how he is, but what is so bad about Herbert Schildt?
Ack, now that I review my original post, I realize I goofed my question a bit. The two options were how to write the implementation in the .cpp file when the declarations were made in a namespace, not how to do the whole thing.
As it is, turns out option #1 is still the way to go, just as...
Status update: I switched out one of the cables with one I know that I know is good, and the computer went from constantly unplugged back to switching between plugged/unplugged. So I'm pretty sure this is one of those 20% situations...
I wasn't the one to intially network them, so I don't know what the quality of the cables are.
Recabling is gonna be a bitch, but I can't find any other reason for the sudden problems. Thanks for help guys!
I have two Windows 2000 boxes with an Intel Pro 100/S NIC connected to a HP ProCurve 408 Switch. Earlier this afternoon, Windows started switching between "Connected to LAN" and "Network Cable Unplugged" messages every few seconds.
From what I can tell, the cable from the NIC to the switch...
I'm reorganizing some of my more commonly used functions into their own namespace, and I have a question about how to organize the files. I want to add in the function headings into utility.h, and then the implementation into utility.cpp, all under the SPUtility namespace.
In the utility.h...
I've tried searching the forums, but I didn't find anything. Does anybody know of any reliable and free (if not free, then cheap) ASP components for cryptography? Most of the ones I've found so far cost a few hundred dollars.
Anyone know of good debuggers for JavaScript work? The thought of the number of times my JavaScripts don't work because of some minor spelling error invisible to my eye makes me want to cry.
*Bump*
I'm having the same problem with a SIIG 1394 card and a Sony TVR900 video camera. Device Manager recognizes the 1394 card, but Windows MM is unaware of it. Does the video camera have to be hooked up to the firewire card before I boot up the computer?
