I'm looking for a case for this mobo. The thing is that I will be using the onboard video so I want the case to be small BUT I want to fit a full size optical drive. I can't find anything out there that fits that criteria, everything that fits a full size optical drive is too large.
Any ideas?
Awkward problem with the monitor:
I turn my computer off for the night, in the morning, after I turn the monitor on and let my computer boot, I notice a lot of distortions all over the monitor, it looks like pixels jumping all over the place, it moves very fast. Turning the monitor off and...
I had the same issue with my comp only outputting at 1080p, I'm guessing you're running dual monitors? I fixed this issue by disconnecting my second monitor and reinstalling the nVidia drivers. It automatically detected it and ran it at the proper 1920x1200 res.
btw, I'm also running it...
I just noticed that the monitor has a unique surface on the screen, it feels kind of like thin plexiglass while most other matte LCDs have a softer surface on them. Some kind of tougher protective screen?
When running in AHCI mode, HD Tune was completely blank in the Supported and Active fields where it would tell me what mode the HD is running at. Same thing in the device manager under the properties of my sata controller. Benchmarks were identical to ide mode as well.
So I bought the Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB SATA-II drive recently, it's connected to an Abit AB9 Pro with the ICH8R southbridge and there seem to be a few issues.
1. According to HD Tune, the drive is running in UDMA5 ATA100 mode, when it says the supported mode is UDMA7.
How do I get...
Got my monitor today from Newegg, no defects or dead pixels. Loaded up ToastyX's icc profile and it looks excellent.

Btw, does anyone have a good icc profile for a Samsung 215TW, I suck at calibrating monitors.
I received my Intel Retail Bundle yesterday and it's been nothing but a headache.
Intel DG965WH Mobo + C2D E6300. I also got a 2GB kit of OCZ 800Mhz DDR2 RAM.
I couldin't even install windows xp or the vista rc1 that came with the bundle. It would either freeze, gfx would get screwed up...
I remember a news post on the [H] about a 60GB RAM harddrive for about $64,000 a few years ago. Have there been any real world benchmarks done on one of these drives? I would be very interested to see how long it would take to load up windows or a BF2 level (verifying client data? Screw you!).
lol, for some reason two of my staples easy rebates were denied for a Wireless B router that I bought (I forgot the reason but it was BS), so I emailed them and the next day they said they were sorry, both rebates approved and checks arrived in a week. Stapleseasyrebates = good in my book.
I hadn't realized so many other people were having problems with Soyo Rebates. I bought a Soyo SY-P4i865PE+V1.0 motherboard Mobo on 9/1/04 and still nothing received. Sent both rebate forms in same envelope as the instructions said and apparently Soyo "lost" one of them because only the $40...
