Ok glad I'm getting a replacement ASAP.... when I move the mouse across a pure black screen, zones literally light up. Light giant bands from top to bottom. This screen is borked. there is also a weird glow that follows mouse pointer.
I’ll be honest, I own the LG CX 48 OLED, and I’ve yet to find an enjoyable gaming experience in HDR. Maybe a personal things but I’m just underwhelmed by it.
I have the AW38 on order and am pumped for the UW experience again. That’s where I feel the true value is. The AW34 is amazing and I’m...
Would you choose this over the Dell AW38? I was going to snag the Dell, but have reservations now. Primarily for non competitive gaming and some light photo editing.
Ha good to know.. I’ll see if I can catch any deals. I had the AW34 then went to the LG CX 48, which is flipping amazing, but waaaaay to big for my desk haha. 34” was great but 38” feels like the perfect fit for my needs.
I’ve been using the LG CX 48” for a few months now, love it, however it’s just too big for my desk. I’m very interested in trying this monitor... worth it?
Thank you! I think I had a total knucklehead moment... I don’t believe the Long Dark supports HDR on PC, but does on consoles.
I’ll take a look for a good HDR toggle!
So I guess my other question is, is it worth keeping windows 10 HDR on at all?
Asked this early but perhaps not correctly....
Would there be a reason I don’t see the toggle in display options for “Enable HDR for Games and Apps”? I only see the enable HDR. Unless I keep looking in wrong place haha.
I ask because I have one game that won’t enable its HDR or conflicts with...
Is it common for Windows 10 to see the LG CX48 as a "Generic PnP Monitor"? I ask because I'm have no issues using HDR is any games, except, The Long Dark. When I have HDR enable in Windows, the game is a washed out mess, however, when I disable, it looks perfect. Wasn't sure if this is...
Great, good to know! I may break it out just to see. And totally agree, screen is perfect with minor adjustments to OLED light, ck trady, brightness etc.
A little while back I bought a X-Rite i1 calibration tool for a previous monitor. Can this also be used for the LG CX48? Wasn’t sure after all the initial non calibration tool tweaks if it was still worth it.
I'm having a minor issue where when I boot PC, tv won't recognize PC HDMI input, says no signal. Most times I have to turn TV off then on again and windows login screen will appear. Am I not giving ti enough time or is there a TV/Windows/Bios setting I need to adjust?
Ah ok I was under the impression you wanted the pixels moving, not static, thanks. I'll see if I can find some good wallpaper.
What's considered a reasonable OLED setting? Mine is at 75 right now.
To prevent burn in, I'm using Steam Wallpaper Engine a LOT, hiding task bar, no icons and turning off when I'm not using.... is this good enough from a maintenance perspective? Is turning off a bad thing? Thanks!
Thank you! This works early on, however, after longer stretches, 15mins or so, it’s tough to bring back.
Although I think I found the culprit that was keeping it dimmed, Wallpaper Engine! I use it extensively and even more so now, to protect from burn in. Disabling it and re enabling it got...
Sooooo I took the plunge! Flipping love this TV as a monitor. Quick question though, it went into that auto dimming mode yesterday and had trouble coming out of it.... anything I can do to help with this? I know we can’t remove.
Ok, awesome.... was hoping for increased field of view in some strategy games.
It seems all systems are taxed by recent total war games. They are CPU dependent and don’t like higher multi core CPUs. I think I’ve seen folks disable cores to get better performance.
And yes,very very pumped...
I just placed an order via Amazon for the LG CX48 to replace my Dell AW3420DW. Just curious how everyone's experience is going so far using this as a PC gaming monitor? I play AAA RPGs, Strategy Games, Immersive games etc... hoping this is a solid replacement for my UW. I was also VERY...
Thanks man.... was looking at both and also saw this on the dell website with $500 off. Maybe an impulse buy but seemed to check all the boxes you mentioned. It’ll be here Wednesday. I tend to keep monitors for a long time, hopefully this is the “one”...
