I have 1080x3 with a single 290x and can run most games on highs with 50-70 fps. Anything above a 290x would do just fine for you. If I had do buy one today it would probably be a 980TI but if you can wait it might be worth seeing what kind of performance we get from 16nm.

I'm very excited for all the freesync/adaptive-sync monitors that are coming out. I just wish they would do 23in or 24in 1080p versions. If Asus made a 24in 1080p I would buy 3 right now. Hell even if it was still 1440p I might still by 3. I just need no bigger than 24 inches.

Yeah it's OC'd a whole 20mhz. The 290x isn't the best OC'er ever but the fact that I can't change my clock speed in any way without getting errors is worrisome to me.

So Newegg keeps selling open box Asus 290x cards. Is the DCII worth it or would it be better to spend more to get a better card?

Ingram says they are getting more in on April 7th but they have already pushed the date back twice. I order it back in January.
