It's normal for the BIOS to show a very high temperature reading the P8P67 boards did the same thing.

Just the much faster start up time almost instant on because I'm on and off the PC all day, although with my SSD drive for the OS it's only about 32 sec from a cold boot to a usable desktop :)

A small update I've now discovered this only happens when the keyboard is plugged into any of the USB 2.0 ports, there is no problem when it's plugged into a USB 3.0 port except obviously I can't get into the bios.

It's a Cherry G-224 there is no revision number but if this helps the label say's it typically draws 35 milliamps.

I get the freeze issue using ps2 or usb keyboard and mouse, I've used the tools from Maxtor to test my problem hard drive and it tests out fine. I've replaced the cable to it so I'll try it on a 6Gig port or the Marvell controller and see what happens.
