CM 690 II front led fan

the fan has two 3 pin connectors (one of which only has two wires and goes to a connector leading from the front panel). The other goes to the mobo fan header. The lights can be turned on and off using the light button on the front panel.

Speedfan - what fans are needed

Hi, Just wondering, what sort of fans do I need, in order for them to be controlled via speedfan? Is a fan that includes a speed monitoring cable enough?

Forceman, just wondering , what temps (and what ambients) are you getting with 1.4v?

    I7 2600K temps high?

P.S. I had mine at 4.5 Ghz wiht 1.33v and I get 72 load temps as well (prime 95 small FFT). Dropped the voltage back to 1.23 and its now 62 or so (1.33v was just the initial test). my cooler is not as good as yours though. - Zalman performa And I'm not totally sure my temps are normal either

70 degree room? That's farenheit right? You're confusing me with posting celcius for the load temp

    QUestion about overclocking GPUs

I'm thinking about overclocking my gtx 570. Just wondering, is it possible to kill it by just changing shader and memory freqs without touching voltage?

    Dodgy 12 V rail workaround?

Thanks. Now I know the PSU won't blow up if I do it! lol The proprietary PSU does get on my nerves. It's almost 3 years old now, and after a couple of years it's probably a good idea to get something newer for reliability (then I'd need to change my case :( ) I've heard tthat someone...

    Dodgy 12 V rail workaround?

Well I've got a 1000W PSU from Dell. apparently it has 5 12V rails rated at 18A each I also have two sets of 6pin power connectors/plugs for GPUs. I'm presuming that each set is linked to a separate rail (or is it that each plug has its own rail)? Anyway I've got a gtx 570 that seems to...

    Memory and overclocking

Well I'm running the ram now at 1600, but mannually set the voltage to 1.55 even though they are rated at 1.65. 50 runs of IBT and they seem stable, but will monitor it a bit longer. Didn't change the volts to the IMC so temps seem unaffected for the CPU. Sure enough the benchies have...

    Zalman Performa

Well at idle the lowest core is 34 and the hottest one is 39/40. This is with 27 ambients Fan is set to 50% though Btw, cores 2&3 are always about 5-10 degs hotter that core 1 adn core 4 is somewhere in between - I hear this is normal for sandybridge?

    Memory and overclocking

Here's my situation: I have a ms p67 gd55 mobo and runs ram at 1333 default. My ram (2 sticks of 2 GB) are Corsair XMS 1600s My CPU (SB 2600K) is OC'd to 4.5Ghz I'm wondering, what are the pros and cons of running the memory at a the higher rated speed? And how do I go about doing...

    Cleaning thermal paste

Thanks Sounds like the thing to go for.. problem is, they don't seem to sell it "everywhere" in Australia :( I need to look around a bit.

    Cleaning thermal paste

Just wondering, what should I use to wipe off the thermal paste on a CPU/heatsink? I see special bottles of stuff they sell at the computer shops, but I hear some people just use some sort of alcohol from the local supermarket. What sort of alcohols should I be looking at, if I don't...

    Zalman Performa

My temps seem a bit high, so I wanted to check if anyone here with experience with this stuff can tell me whether I stuffed up the heat sink installation I have a Zalman performa cooler on a 2600K CPU At stock the load temp under prime 95 is about 57 degs with 27 deg ambients At OC 4.5...

    negative vdroop?

Thanks. I think I have it on auto. Maybe then it's better to disable it? That way I actually get vdroop and vcore at load is not higher than needed (i.e.lower load temps). It may mean I need to set the bios vcore higher, and it will stay high at idle (so higher idle temps - which is fine...

    negative vdroop?

Hi, I've got a 2600K overvlocked to 4.5 Ghz. It seems to be stable at load at 1.23v, but at idle, the vcore drops back to 1.19v and occassionally I get BSODs when nothing's happening. I've always been used to the vcore reducing on load rather than increasing on load. Is this normal on...

    USA PSU in AUS

I'm thinking about getting a corsair PSU shipped from the States to America. I know the power cable not compatible - but I've got plenty of local PSU power cords for the local power point. What I'm wondering is if PSUs are generally made to work with different voltages that come in from the wall...

64 bit and 32 bit Hard drive Issues?

Kind of new to the 64 bit thingy. So this question may sound totally silly. Does the change to 64 bit affect how data is stored on hard drives? I'm currently running a 32 bit OS. If I set up a dual boot with a 64 bit OS on a separate drive, will I be able to read/write to the drive with...

GTX 570 - Bottlenecking or not?

Thanks. I would have thought that my CPU is bottlenecking the GPU as well. It just unnerves me a bit that a 15% overclock has no impact at all on the frame rate - suggesting it's not a CPU bottleneck. Is anyone able to explain this? I'm not particulary cluey on the technical suff behind the...

GTX 570 - Bottlenecking or not?

Have a bit of a problem, which I can't quite solve. So I'm hoping someone here might be able to give me some direction: Here's my system: QX9650 @ 3.0 GHZ 4 GB ddr 3 ram Vista GTX 570 stock clocks 1 KW PSU nvidia 790i ultra I recently upgraded from a GTX 285 to a GTX 570, and as...
