On a side by side comparison the differences is visible with the naked eye. Don't know about flickering, but LED on a TN is still BS from my point of view, yet maybe those that got used to TN feel different and can't blame them. On LCD TV's for example, they use LED with IPS and S-PVA panels...

No, the Dell displays a green tint... but LG doesn't and this one of the reasons, why those that tried both say LG is better. You don't need to install the driver, don't even think you can since it's a different model, you need to add the .icm from inside - that's all. :)

That's cause the older revisions used S-IPS panel, wile the new revisions come with a H-IPS panel. A firmware can't decrease response time....
