Problem with Monitor (can't say for sure what's this).

Hi, Monitor model: LG W2220P (22"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM220WE4)) I have a problem that appeared couple of months ago and i don't know what it is... it looks like a dark streak and it's very visible when i start the monitor but after few minutes becomes less visible (barley visible to be...

    LG W2220P

Can't say I trust that test since I didn't noticed any Inputlag compared to a CRT monitor... and here's a better review that says different, one that dissects all aspects of an LCD.

    24" Widescreen CRT (FW900) From Ebay arrived,Comments.

It's true that most rich people are ignorants, but not when it comes to entertainment. So basicly if they want the best in terms of quality, they'd go at least for something like this: Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD. If they want bigger there's DLP or a projector Home Cinema like this.... Yet...

    The Perils of Eye Strain

On a side by side comparison the differences is visible with the naked eye. Don't know about flickering, but LED on a TN is still BS from my point of view, yet maybe those that got used to TN feel different and can't blame them. On LCD TV's for example, they use LED with IPS and S-PVA panels...

Samsung F2380 Image Crush Solved ?

Maybe you don't realize, but the Dell from the left, the one from the above comparison comes with IPS panel (e-IPS to be more exact) as in Dell 2209WA. Maybe that TN won't have those crush problems, which I believe they're a side effect for the huge Contrast of F2380 - but definitively won't...

    The Perils of Eye Strain

IPS's are capable true white and the above model is among the brightest on market (most set the brightness to 0/3) so I wouldn't call it a solution regarding the subject of this topic. Ironically, a TN with washed colors and a grey - blueish white is more gentle on eyes. Yet I do admit that IPS...

Which 24" LCD has the best color uniformity/viewing angle rating?

I wouldn't say that HP is an expedition... but being H-IPS, is obviously better then TN.

Yes, it can degrade the LCD layers with time passing. If I remember correctly, it's even mentioned in the LCD manual.

Post your Mouse and Keyboard pics

I see you like Cherry Keyboards (IBM oldies), yet I used to hate them cause of the noise they make. Surprisingly, or ironically in my case - most like those keyboards cause of that noise, some even made a busyness reviving that old technology - which is pretty useless as far as I'm concern. But...

    LG W2220P

It's same for games as is for movies when it comes to detail loss... Don't know how some can be satisfied with that... but guess is possible, if you have nothing to compare it with. Yet, that's just one of the problems... ghosting, input lag, you name it.

Review : The LG Flatron W2220P is a challenger to the Dell 2209WA's crown

From a local store but also sales online (biggest in Ro), yet it's displayed as available to many stores since I believe they have the same supplier. Don't know about Korea, wast talking about US since I know many people from US, most from forums. Then again, this is visible even here: HP...

    LG W2220P

No, the Dell displays a green tint... but LG doesn't and this one of the reasons, why those that tried both say LG is better. You don't need to install the driver, don't even think you can since it's a different model, you need to add the .icm from inside - that's all. :)

    LG W2220P

It needs a Wide Gamut, and Dell having the same Panel offers a similar profile, yet calibrated in a different way. The profile from the LG CD is made to work with those Modes, but I don't like it and don't like the idea of using predefined modes (as in Movies, text and so on) since those or just...

Don't know what OS you're using, but Windows Vista/7 has a feature called "Color Management"... I installed the original driver from LG CD and since it was to dark, from that feature I removed the Color Profile and added the one from Dell 2209WA - which is to bright, so I set the Brightness to 0...

    LG W2220P

Games look great cause you don't loose details in the dark and all colors are as clean as with a CRT. As for movies, imagine a full dark scene where all you see is the shadow of the ninja... the darkness around him has a blueish tint, instead of reddish as displayed on a CRT. As for TN's, most...

    LG W2220P

...actually, it means better colors, since it doesn't skip turns like TN's and the White is "White". On the other hand, the black levels could be better (like on S-PVA panels) since IPS black has a glow (specific to IPS technology) and you can't get deep blacks. Usually black is black (like for...

    LG W2220P

LED backlight ads better ergonomics (thinner), lower power consumption, a longer life and probably better uniformity but doesn't improve the image as marketing says, that's just BS marketing for the general public (those don't get informed when making a purchase). On the other hand, there are to...

Review : The LG Flatron W2220P is a challenger to the Dell 2209WA's crown

You're wrong, they're both e-IPS (as in economic IPS)... not to be mistaken with E-IPS (Enhanced IPS or AS-IPS as in Advanced S-IPS - as Nec likes to call it). They're both called S-IPS as a marketing strategy. ========= As for why EU first... that's cause it's LG and US users don't really...

Why is the ZR24w popular at all?

With all the junk of TN's on the market, there's no surprise that a good monitor stands out, especially one like this one with a good IPS panel which is quite new from a tech point of view (H-IPS) and is also cheaper then the other alternatives on the market. Beyond that HP is known for the...

    22" LCD - What resolution do you prefer 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 ?

Didn't see much difference in HD movies, maybe not pixel in pixel but 1920x1080 (as in HD movies) scaled to 1680x1050 (native resolution) looks great. As for games, lower resolution gives better performance from your video-card and scaling a native resolution to a lower resolution does look...

This was also answerd in the above article: Should do just fine, or even better then that since the video content playback seems to be the strongest point for this model. And also 1920 x 1080 (16:9), the native resolution of this monitor is exactly 1080p, which is the same resolution as...
