Gotcha - either way the end user would be notified that there is screen sharing going on. I just wanted to make sure that is the case since the WebEx Training Center looked a bit different then the regular meeting application - we briefly attended one before and there is no button to share the...
Just a quick question for security concerns - we have a few employees taking part in some webex training sessions coming up. They are doing this while working and we just want to make sure that the presenter/host of the training event does not have access to our employee's desktop as on the...
I have had both of these issues and I am a big Veeam user. I have a client running constant replication I used to see Veeam actually destroy the vmx of the replica by not commenting something out. This was a PITA and actually this week we had the vmdk issue stuck on the target proxy.
Veeam...
Best show in my book. This is when scifi was Scifi with a good line up of shows on Friday (?) nights. Not the dren that they put out now.
I remember watching the last episode and screaming at the tv when they left it as it was. This show had such a fan backing, that fans were putting money...
My blueray drive on the PS3 took a dump. While in the process of looking for another drive on ebay, I was wondering if it is possible to transfer my few PS3 games I have to the HD - is this possible or no because of the encryption that are on the games?
If not does the PS3 playstore work like...
Hey all,
Having a quick question regarding an AA setup on a Cisco Unity Connection system.
Right now I have the call handler setup, external calls are coming in and hearing the greeting. When the caller types in an extension number (which is in the list of subscribers in CUC), there is a...
I have my main ESXi build on a consumer MSI board running an i7. I also have a remote site that has ESXi running on a dell desktop. Their hardware compatibly is more for cards, etc.. and there are always ways around that too.
Hello All,
I am working on integrating CUCM latest version to a router that has CME running on it. All the CSSs are setup on the CUCM, the gateway is listed and the DNA shows the routing working fine on the CUCM side, to the gateway.
The gateway is where I am having the problem. I can make...
A virtual lab I slapped together the other night to play with OSPF and EIGRP distribution via OSPF.
Labels are not as updated as I labeled my backbone area 20 instead of 0... not going to work...
I actually use packet tracer when I don't feel like booting up my hardware. But since I am now starting to work on frame relay, etc.. the hardware is now starting to show itself again.
yum. We actually have two 5515s for a project we are doing. These new specs and pretty sweet. I was trying to figure out the other day but did not have time to research - what is the HD bay on the front for?
Also it seems these units have active active out of the box.
I just recently promoted a new DC into my home network as the main global was on its way out, even though it was a VM. After transferring roles, changing services, moving files over I finally demoted that server and left it off labeled decom.
After dealing with an issue I found with...
Blew a power supply on a spare cat 6507 the other day I was testing... everything was running and I was working on the secondary sup and out of no where hear a band and see the fan stop spinning on that PSU.
Made ya jump an inch or two.
- What type of HP switches do you have?
- What router is in place now? Will this be something to be changed?
Depending on the size of the building, you can use a few 1141 Cisco WAPs. Trunk the interfaces they hook up to on the switch.
From there, it depends on the switches. If they are 2910...
5505s are great pieces of hardware.
Here is a quick picture of my revamped network:
An older shot of the server closet when it was under construction. I have to take an updated shot with the walls and doors up:
A question to others running their own equipment at home - with...
I am going to post some pictures today, I actually have had the servers and some of the network equipment off this weekend to take a break... Well opening everything up, blowing it out, etc.
Your talking about the OS that ships with those boxes.
Usually, we open them up and install pfsense on them. I had pfsense running on both of them at one point, and they never missed a beat.
I would be careful with that HP desktop. We found a lot, meaning lot full of them all have bad power supplies and started to spark and crap. Happened on site a few times as well. Recently.
What do you have on your network? Do you have a server running your DNS, or are you using your ISP's DNS?
Try using the following servers for DNS:
8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4
I have to say, even though we are not a Dell shop and not to particular on Dell hardware, to a point anyways, I really like the look of Dell's newer servers.
The other questions to ask:
-How many users on the network?
-How many other servers?
-Roaming profiles used? Used for admins?
-Switch utilization (if you can even get that info from the switches)?
-Again, how is the switches linked to eachother?
That is just a small amount to start going on...
