Acrylic paint is probably going to crack with time since you have to bend the cables. Only thing I can think of suggesting is Plasti-Dip which is pretty flexible.

Mantle is like 3dfx Glide. Except at least Glide was better than D3D at one point. Mantle was a dead duck from the star;, AMD needs to make hardware that's actually relevant instead of trying cheap vendor lock-in tricks.

The thread asked why we don't see more of Mantle yet. I offered my opinion on it.

I have a pretty good idea of what Mantle is. It's a proprietary API made by AMD that is going to be as successful as 3DNow! I still don't see what role it fulfills other than trying to resurrect the bad old days of proprietary graphics APIs like Glide.

It's a typical AMD product. Lots of talk and nothing to back it up.
