Thanks I didn't know they made something like that. Do you if you cant make the fans on the MSI spin slower rather than completely off? I'm sure the fans at a couple hundred rmps wouldn't be audible and could keep temps down better.

Makes no sense why Broadwell wouldn't be coming around Christmas if Skylake isn't coming until 2H of 2015. Since it's a die shrink a motherboard for a Haswell refresh won't support Broadwell I assume? Also I have no use for Haswell-E and the expensive ddr4.

See I need a card that I can game with. I think one of the major problems is how limited the exhaust holes are on the back of the 6870 cards. They are impeded by the dual dvi ports and/or fancy writing on the metal, in this case, "xfx." I'm really trying to avoid switching cases and power supply.
