Been using an Acer AL2216w for a long time and had been looking for a replacement, now that this dead pixel line just appeared I have a reason.

-Primarily used for gaming, league/various mmos/rts
-Secondary browsing/movies
-24-27"
-Matte screen (bright room)
-Something I can look at for awhile without getting a headache
-Under 5ms?
-Crisp smooth picture(I know that's hard to distinguish without seeing them in person)
-Under 300$ obviously the lower the better
-Can't wait to purchase for gsync because this dead line is killing me.

I know the basics between TN and IPS but not much about other panels. Also I don't know much about the different qualities of IPS panels. I wouldn't be against a TN panel because I'm pretty sure that is what I'm using now, as long as the picture quality is better. So if you have any suggestions and/or reviews that would be great!

Having a hard time deciding but I am leaning toward a Benq BL2410PT now if shipping isn't that much from NCIX. Was also looking at the Asus VG248QE, is there a TN panel that outpreforms the rest? I was thinking the VA panel of the BL2410PT would be a good compromise between a TN and IPS but was sure about the input lag? Is there any comparable IPS's similar to these monitors (Low MS and Input lag wise) that won't break the bank.

Yeah that Acer is a TN. My suggestion: sign up for the free month of Premier Newegg membership so you can get free return shipping/no restocking fee and try that ASUS VG248QE out. If you don't like it (you will--unless you get a bad panel which isn't likely) you can get your money back easy. You mentioned 2 monitors. That Benq is nice but for gaming the ASUS is the best you can do for the money because it is 120/144Hz and Lightboost compatible. It is also Gsync upgradable later if you get all obsessive about this stuff.
