I did check the socket but couldn't seem to find a bent pin. Although if that is the issue that should mean some of the ram slot will not read anything right?
The issue I have is different set of ram can be read in all the slots just not at the same time. The cooler is a older thermalright mux...

I have tried 6 sets of 2x4gb ram with this board.
With G.Skill Sniper DDR3 1600 f3-12800cl9d-8gbsr and Ripjaw X DDR3 1600 f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl, The board will post with single stick of \ RAM in slot 2, 3, 4, 3 and 4 in dual channel, and all 3...
I have used both compressors (+moisture trap, 3 gallon tank) and the metro Datavac. For dusting purposes I prefer the datavac, the compressor's tank reserve is used up too quickly if you are upping the psi level and I get tired of lugging the compressor around. While the datavac gets hot, it is...
Would recommend to stay away from antec 900, outdated design and a dust magnet.
Corsair 600T SE has window and filters (easy to remove as well), but a bit pricy.

Back to back days with driver error on Win7 64bit, and today I got back from work only to find my monitor has been reduced to 1024x768 with no option to turn up. Restarted, and my monitor is no longer being recognized as a pnp monitor with max resoltuion of 1280x768. Tried uninstalling the...
The door can be removed apparently
I would get this case if only my local microcenter get it in stock so I can use my 20% off coupon. I may be forced to go the HAF 912 if it doesn't come in before the coupon expires. I like that it has a clear side panel and internal usb 3.0 headers, if only...
If you have a Microcenter near by, they have the Black Fan with blue led and molex connectors only for $3.99

I love AMD and their processors because they offer competition to Intel and Nvidia on the CPU and GPU front, plus the 2500+ Barton will always have a special place in my mind.
I guess all the companies are waiting for the actual release of BD before they do matx 990 boards. For now it seems they are content to just rehash the current 880 board with new socket. I've been wanting to do a matx AMD build too
Already oos at Tustin this morning. Last night there was 10+. Over the weekend when they were letting you combo this plus money off on mobos, looks like that is over.
While the 900 was the top of budget cases 2~3 years ago, and still is a good case for airflow. Its cable management is lacking, and no filters means it get dusty quick, I speak from experience here.
I mean cases like CM HAF 912

Hmm, do we know if it is just a power on password or supervisor password is there also? If just power on password it looks like you can try pulling the CMOS battery, but you can't do that if there's a supervisor password

I always thought the Z series' round look was a nice change of pace from the standard Thinkpad, and is a better widesreen design compared to the T61 widescreens (that weird offset to the right screen). Been hunting for a titanium lid Z61t for a while.
I think Incerceptor's issue was more of complaints about the Carrier's weight distribution, not the armor itself; and has been fixed with newer armor carriers like IOTV for the Army and MTV for the Marines.
Dragonskin also received the criticism of being too heavy. There was a lot of hype...
However, if you have a backlog of games already you can probably afford to wait until the next big sale since the collection has been $6.99 for last summer sale and winter sale

Bought a new unopened Crucial C300 64GB SSD (also comes with a bytecc bracket) on ebay for $110, after using my ebay cashback, the net cost was $46.96. I was looking for a 128gb, but the net cost would have been $150+. I decided 64gb is a better deal, and by late next year I should have...
I threw one in for my last build and have one for the HTPC. It's still useful on occasions. However I now have a few extra thinkpad ultrabay devices that I just put into enclosures and make USB drives, so I won't be adding an internal one for the next build.
Not worth $17 IMHO. it just isn't as well thought out and balanced as Civ4.
This is a good read regarding the issues
