I just built up a spare computer out of old parts incase my laptop decides to die on me.
I got everything working so far, but I cannot get audio to work. Runs of VIA AC97 from what I found. Even tried the Realtek AC97 with no luck. The volume icon in the system tray shows up and everything...
Will post my Ubuntu 9.04 desktop once I finish getting everything setup. Moving to my laptop as my main system so. Pretty much making the switch to ubuntu.
After finding out I read it wrong, Vista just seems better now. Lol.
Considering Apple is releasing Snow Leopard for $29 upgrade, wasn't it?
I may have to go give ubuntu a try.
Until I can get a 24" display to use with my laptop, its not my primary machine. Even if it's faster than my desktop(figure out how a quad is slower than a dual.) I'm running 7 on the laptop and vista on the desktop. I'm tempted to buy an SSD when the final release of 7 comes out and throw it on...
Rogers in canada even charge's $20 for unlimited text on the iphone. They do have a $55 data plan that includes 6gb. But its only a limited offer thing.
Scratch this thread. Lol
I called Telus after finding out that HSDPA networks will be available on telus in september according to the rep at the Telus store I spoke to. And the iPhone is supported on HSDPA. I'm waiting till september or october to make my decision.
Telus has the voyager 1. The Env touch in canada is called the voyager 2.
But the voyager is a little more then I wanted to spend, I'm thinking of the Env2 instead but it doesn't have the 3.5mm headphone jack.
I'm probably putting an 8gb MSD card in it. I'm just wondering about the screen. I am aware that there's better phones, I just don't want to spend over $400 if I get it off contract.
It's either the dare, or keybo(env2)
My bell phone is dead, only had it 3 months. So I'm just going to renew my Telus contract in september and get the LG dare, or I'll get the LG for the no contract price and activate it.
What's the screen on the Dare like? Is it like the touch screens where you have to push on a top plastic...
Lulz, dude, Its a personal choice. Geez. And your not paying 1600 for mac software. Your paying for build quality(lets see you shuv a whole computer into something that small without it turning into an oven), the service that you can get (my friend had his 2008 mac pro replaced with a 2009 8...
As of right now, For media purposes, PSP-3000 w/4gb MS Pro Duo and a LG 830 as my mobile. The phone's probably getting replaced here soon. And an addition of a smaller notebook/netbook may be added to the list as well.
Whats the powershot G10 like? I heard its like an SLR, just in P&S form. Would it be worth the $579 CAN?
I don't really want an actual DSLR because I need something that'll fit in my pocket and bag without needing extra lenses.
To be honest, I'd rather have the 24" iMac then the XPS, mainly because I already have a workhorse even if it is an OEM gateway FX.
But congrats on your system.
Completely forgot I downloaded this on the 26th on my desktop. Going to install when I'm done with some school assignments tonight. Hope its easy and makes it even more stable than vista is right now.
Sweet. I'm happy the launch is sooner than anticipated. I'm willing to upgrade. I got the RC(dual boot), but still using vista as my main os till final release of 7. Now, to wait for pricing. I hope its not stupid expensive.
I was just screwing around with settings. It's back onto the the new setting(the icon only setting). I don't even use 7 as my primary OS, I still use vista as my primary on both my laptop and desktop. Just the vista desktop on my desktop is messy.
But I just finished cleaning up my laptop.
I'm running 4gb of DDR2 667. I haven't even hit the 50 % usage limit yet unless I'm running a VM, then I get close to 80%. I'm probably putting 8 gigs of 800 in it seeing as ram is cheap now. Well DDR2 is.
In my opinion the more ram the better. Now to get a hold of a mac pro with 8-cores and...
Where I spend most of my time right now during the day. I'm superbusy with school, chores and still trying to get out hittin' the trails while its nice. I'll be working on my school work through the summer until august I think. I'm way behind. Oh well. Shouldn't be hard to catch up.
Thinking...
If you do it right, you can get a sunbeam rheobus and hide the cables very nicely. I would just get the rheobus instead of running multiple fans off a mobo fan header. May mess something up.
I've been trying to say that. Scuffing with a scuff pad is like light sanding. I've never had to prime a case after scuffing it. Now with the lian-li cases, I would sand them or blast them because of the interior finish they have.
Btw, I apoligize if I offended you, didn't mean to. I have a...
I'm probably ordering 2 or 3 these displays for my setup. 2 for my desktop and 1 for my laptop. What is the Max height these go to? and the lowest they go?
Wow, you obviously don't know a lot about painting. Once you've learned from one of the best painters in the city you live in. Scuffing is like sanding, but not down to bare metal, it gives the paint something to adhere to. I never sand unless I've applied bond which isn't too often.
