yes, this sucks but u can't do anything about it. not everyone makes an attorney's salary and the majority of ppl don't make anything close to that, if even half that. believe me, i'm not against you, i'm just stating the facts. my last stereo was $5k, not multi-channel av, it was equipped...
the cheapest i'm seeing name brand 1080p 50" tv's anywhere is for around $2k before any tax and/or shipping. i went with a 720p cus the difference in price was at least $700.
i love how my thread turned into a flame war instead of ppl getting good prices lol. if u do your research the FIRST thing you'll know about looking at tv's in any store is that they are not calibrated and will look nothing like they will once they are set up in your home, if u know how to do a...
ok, i decided just to make one thread about sears and their lcd/plasma prices since there are multiple threads going around with the same deal, just different models.
i just picked up a panasonic 50px75u which is a 50" 720p plasma for $1,312.90 plus tax. the tv is at sears' store and...

42" hitachi plasma that gets good consumer and also pretty good av guide reviews. there is a full thread on slickdeals going on right now for all of the gory...
the one on the egg is a 7200.10, i've bought that exact one before. i don't know what model this one is from compusa.
the drive at fry's for $59.99 is NOT SATA. it's an ultra ATA.
i'm using one of these. i have an e6850 overclocked to 3.6 on stock voltage. i like it, dunno what to tell u cus i don't have a premium/deluxe model to compare it to. i was able to stretch the IDE cable labeled "hard drive" through the back of the motherboard casing on an antec 900 and back...
dang this is a good deal, thanks OP.
i picked up nike air phoenix, a puma track jacket, a 6 pack of nike socks, and some shoe cleaner for $100 bones. the air phoenix are $100 bones retail by themselves.
if u want to get the entire 40% off u have to spend more than $100 after the discount...
a raptor would smoke this drive. there's a reason a raptor is the same price but it has 5x less space. you can't compare a huge 7200rpm drive to a small 150gig 10k rpm drive.
first impressions, this thing is small, light and cheap. just how i like my wimminz :D :D :D seriously, this thing is slow as ass with the 2x512 sticks of ram and flies pretty damn good after i put the 2x1gig sticks in. uninstalled norton and installing kaspersky 7.0 for vista right now, it...
the full model number is as5570-2977.
found it :D http://www.fatwallet.com/t/18/750046/
for those of u too lazy to look, what u do is pick up like 25 norton/mcafee/etc. titles when u buy your pc, front about 800 in cash and then u have to fill out literally 50 rebate forms and mail them in...
uhh not to link myself here but i also have an asus p5k-e and an e6850, running with an ultra 120X and crucial ballistix. hope this helps!

i hit 3.6 stable at stock voltage of 1.35. even a tad higher and i had to increase the voltage. i went up to 3.78 at 1.45vcore stable which is consistent with other overclocker reports and i have no doubt i would be able to hit 4 but due to the increased power draw and heat i'm just running at...
i can post the sub-model number after i get off of work. just look at the reviews on newegg for the 14.1" as5570 models, they only differ slightly. i think there is the same lappie on newegg with a different submodel number and the only differences are it has a 160g hd and a t2060 (1.6...

^^the local flyer has an addition that shows the free sony location free slingbox thingy with the purchase of any non-HP or non-compaq lappie.

staples b&m has an acer intel dual core 1.73ghz 14.1" lappie (weighs only 5.3 pounds), canon mp160 printer/scanner/copier and the sony version of the slingbox for $499.96 after $70's worth of mail in rebates but u gotta pay tax.
i'm only in the market for a 14 inch lappie cus i don't wanna...
well...topped out at 420x9 for a 3.78 ghz stable overclock (4h 40min in orthos) but needed 1.45vcore setting to get there. i'm sure i could hit 4ghz easy but i don't know how much power it would take, probably closer to 1.5 like everyone else. i'm just gonna run my rig at stock voltage at...
did u update the bios on the mb? also, i've read it's easier to overclock with 2x1 sticks of ram, maybe try that and see if it will work better and add the other 2 sticks back later.
If anyone is interested in my progress, here is the update. I will post screenies after I get home from work tonight. I hit the wall at stock voltage at 400x9 which makes sense considering I was running the ddr2 ram at exactly the stock rated speed at 1:1. It crashed orthos at 405x9 after 5...
well, decided to make my own thread. this is my first time overclocking btw. system is:
e6850 w/thermaltake ultra 120 extreme and scythe s-flex sff21f
asus p5k-e
crucial ballistix pc6400
MSI 8800GTX OC
antec trio 650 ps
1 nec dvd-rw
1 seagate 320g hd
1 maxtor 500g hd (really a...
i'm running an e6850 with a p5k-e. i'm at 3.6ghz right now stable for over an hour in orthos on the stock voltage setting of 1.35v. vdroop reads out to about 1.3 or 1.32. lemme see if i can get 4ghz on stock voltage.
^^yea when u buy "maxtor" drives u basically want the rebranded seagate 72.10 version, it uses perpendicular recording technology...in a nutsackshell, they are faster than the old 72.9's.
u know that thing they threw in the box called the manual, it's on page 2-27 and 2-28. if u installed the jmicron and ich9r software correctly it'll detect on whichever connector u plug the hard drives and dvd drive in on, u just have to choose which slot u put them in as master or slave.
frys' price was always $209 since it came out. i really doubt frys b&m will ever lower the price of the e6750 and all of the new chips but they will probably have a MB bundle in the future for less than msrp on both the chip and MB.
if u want to wait for a chip/mb combo then wait, if u...
i haven't run an overclock yet but my stock e6850 is running <35C on both cores fully loaded in orthos and the max temp, according to intel, is 72C. i figure i should be able able to get a pretty good overclock, and this is on air.
yea the ram is pc6400. so it doesn't really matter then if i run it at 5-5-5-15 or 4-4-4-12? the guide i was reading said it would be easier to diagnose problems with the overclock if i ran it at 5-5-5-15 cus the ram wouldn't be the problem, if one came up.
hi, like the title says this is my first time overclocking. my system is an asus p5k-e, crucial ballistix and an e6850 chip.
is it better to run the ram during the first overclock at 5-5-5-15 or the stock timings, which are 4-4-4-12 for my ballistix? i've read guides that say run it at...
i kind of preferred a g0 q6600 but i can't wait anymore. i've been waiting to build my rig since april and i have everything except for a processor. i bought an e6850 from the fountain valley store, so they had 55 yesterday but at least one less now  i'm way too tired to start building...
just called 2 local LA fry's. i had the guys check the cage and both said they only have the SLUM (old) versions. probably all the same stock at the stores since they probably have 1 central warehouse.
i wonder what they are atually selling just the processor for? i'd rather buy it for 10$...
well, i don't know anywhere else you can buy these b&m besides fry's so here it goes...feel free to add cus i really don't have that much info. if you are ordering from the egg or anywhere else that charges tax if you have to pay shipping on top of that you might as well drop by a fry's and...
read the serial number code. the old one is something like SL9UM and the new one is something like SLACR. so make sure to get the slacker version, not the slum.
