I've owned many lcd displays in my life. I'm finding that if the display doesn't have a stuck pixel from day 1, it doesn't usually happen over time (at least for me.) Is this the general consensus? I have a Gateway 2185 and am worried that i will end up having this issue.

I find myself moving it way toward the blue to get it to match the background. Which brings me to my next point...can i match the graph on the left side or do i have to match the background. it's very hard for some reason to match the graph. Do you have a better package than eztune to...

when i use the eztune calibration, it looks right but then when i finsh up, the colors are really messed up and not right....a person's face will be white. is there a better piece of software that you use/

I like it but i notice on the left side of the screen it's much brighter, even moving the head so it's dead centered doesn't help. Not sure what to do with it because i did get a good deal at $200.00. Clearance at an office store.

Yeah, i'm aware of the moving to right/left thing, however, i can make a 360 degree turn and it wont cut down on the brightness on the left side. I'm wondering if this is normal for this particular monitor.--i.e. uneven brightness Charles

Is it me or when i look at web sites, the left side of the screen is MUCH brighter than the right.....for example http://www.pbase.com/streetkid/image/59747442 look at the gray area...on the left it is brighter...than on the right side. Anyone else see this? It's probably back light...

I have a gateway 2185 and it seems darker in the middle, especialy when looking at a grey screen. Is this normal? I think it is but wanted to check. Charles

I brought over a friends same monitor; the gateway 2185w and it does not suffer from the darkness issue with the component input. It was made actually earlier than mine; july 05 compared to oct 05. Anyone find out how to fix this. I've move contrast/brightness all the way up and no luck.

I have a new gateway 2185w monitor. I'm trying to input 1080i via RCN cable box. It works but in the center and toward the right hand side of the screen, im getting alot of blocking...for example, if a picture of a telephone pole comes on the screen, i will see lines and blocks extruding from...
