well I took it apart and cleaned it out and still no go. So I just ordered a 560 to replace it, I didn't have my 280 registered (yea i know i'm stupid) so hopefully this fixes the issues! Thanks for the help guys. You all rock.

is there any program that will log temps and save it even on a hard restart? because as soon as I load the game it happens, no way I can see the temps.

Just used hwmonitor and it says it's at 50c idle, which seems to be fine as far as I know, Unfortunately I didn't register my card way back when so i'm SoL there. If I do have to replace the card, what would be a good replacement? I don't think they sell 280s anywhere anymore.

well i loaded up WoW and stood in Dalaran which has the most players of anywhere in the game and my GPU never went above 45c so I don't think its a heat related issue...so that only leaves either the power coming from the wall or my power supply.

Hey, I am putting my heatsink on my CPU atm and when I took the plastic film tab off from the bottom of the heatsink it left sticky residue on it. What is the best way to remove that? I have a Xigmatek S1283
