my motto is "bigger is better" i have a w2207 and would go bigger in a heartbeat. but i didn't have it in my budget to get a 24" so i'm stuck with this 22":(

here's my take on the whole lcd thing. if you can afford a 24" go for it. but again if you can afford a 30" go for it. so what i am saying is, if you have the $$$ get the biggest lcd you can. to me size matters. as for me i have a 22" as i didn't have the $$$ for a bigger one:mad:

the best way i know to tell if a glossy lcd if for you. is to put a tv set were your lcd will go. and see if you can stand the glare. becuase the glossy lcd's have the same glass type look and feel as a tv set screen.

i'd got with the dell:)

the HP w2207 will not any more glare than your tv set. both are glossy. so if you can live with the glare of your tv set. the will be the best choice for you;)

okay as i sit here on my computer reading all this stuff about how glossy reflects too much light. i stop and look at my 24" flat samsung tv that is right next to w2207 and have to wonder why no-one has ever complanied about the tv's or ever plasma screen that we now have today with flat glossy...

hope they come out with a 22" or better yet a 24" model

i sold my old dell 20" wide. and i now have the new HP22" and i don't regret it for 1 min. i would do it again in a heartbeat. this is just my personal opinion. i think the glossy looks much more rich and clearer in clolor. but hey that's just me.

WOW it's not everyday you here someone say a bigger panel is better as far as picture quality than a smaller panel. not to mention his smaller lcd was dell. but i had the same expirence going from a dell 2005FPW to this new HP W2207. and it's true, at least in my eyes this new hp looks brighter...

HP w2207 also gets my vote if your looking for 22" no need to look at anything eles.

hell i never installed any software. don't get me wrong i did get the disc when i purchased the monitor. but when i hooked it up to my computer. everything looked fine. so i did not install any software. no need too i'm happy with it just the way it is AWESOME:)
