SLI is broken causing flickering textures. Update otherwise is pretty good so far. I had no problems buying a Freighter, and starting a homebase.

I had the same problem with the drivers. I did a clean install. Kept defaulting to my monitor speakers after a reboot. I never use them so I disabled the speakers in sound properties. Also had some popping noises in my USB headset that I've never heard. Rolled back to 372.70 and no issues.

Is it worth waiting for the next revision of the 10 series cards? If I recall the non ACX evga 970s had some issues like coil whine and not being able to SLI with newer boards. I'd hate to buy a 1070 or 1080 now and down the road not be able to SLI it due to the board being revised.

use identical 970's, not all revisions are compatible with each other. found the exact same tool to enable sli but surround is broken. replaced card with the same sku and sli works with no tool same bridge and board.

I'm using display port only for my 3 displays across 2 970's. the only time i had issues was when the display port cable was not fully inserted. the metal slots on my tower have warped over time and the display port cable was not making a full connection.

another wisconsinite here, it would be nice to see this money go to covering all of the funding that walker has cut. also have been to a recent UW football game, camp randall might be older than shit but it has never looked better.

Went from a single 570 to 970 SLI and didnt change out the psu. just make sure you have enough pcie power cables. 2 per each card.

Are you upgrading to Win 10 from 7/8 or clean wiping? Portrait surround is working fine for me as well as overclocking my LCD's to 75hz.

I've got all 3 of my monitors connected to the top card via DP. For whatever reason this nets the best SLI performance in Witcher 3. Otherwise it is pretty flexible as cortexodus pointed out.

This new gtx 950 may work as well and will be cheaper than the 960.

Probably depends on the driver and if any Witcher 3 patches were installed. The latest drivers and patches have solved most of the performance issues with hairworks.

Love my evga 970s and evga support. My cpu temps went up 3-4c after adding a 2nd 970.

SLI is working here. I did notice that in Ark and Witcher 3 the memory usage would go over 4GB for each card. Using MSI afterburner to show stats in games.

Have you tried reinstalling Company of Heroes? Do you have a spare hard drive lying around that you could reinstall Windows?

Set power management mode to maximum instead of adaptive in the NVidia 3d settings and see if that helps. If it does use NVidia inspector to create a custom profile for your games where max power management is needed.

If they are both EVGA cards, I'd suggest reaching out to EVGA support. They are fully aware of the different revisions not able to SLI and offered me a replacement that matched my original card.

Just went through this with a evga ssc acx 2.0 and ssc acx 2.0+. They were incompatible with each other despite being evga 970s. Differentsli gets sli working but nv surround seems to break. Had to get a same SKU card. Sucks

this was my first sli experience and it was definitely a pain in the ass. my coworker was sling the ssc and a zotac amp extreme with no problems so possibly limited to evga 970 + evga 970. here's to hoping the replacement goes well. will report back when I receive the replacement card
