I use this board and I love it.
I dont overclock I just want a stable mATX board that will run the latest components and this thing just works.
Since the 0702 BIOS update I have had ZERO issues with it.
Im running AMD X2 4400 with a Geforce7800 and 2 gigs of ram and the machine runs like a...
Well the problem isnt as much as the difference in the readings, its in the fact that if the Asus board readings are correct, that means I have a problem. Having a full load go up to 55 degrees is not something I wanna do. I dont wanna bring in instability due to overheating. Hell even idling at...
Hey all.
I recently replaced my Gigabyte motherboard due to all the problems it has with the Asus A8N-VM CSM.
For whatever reason my cpu now runs almost 10 degrees hotter than it did when I ran it on my gigabyte.
It idles now at around 44 degrees and goes up to 55 degrees on full load...
I received my replacement Asus 6150 motherboard. Popped in all the parts and it works like a charm! The same parts that were causing me nothing but problems with the gigabyte.
Could it be an issue just with the dual cores? I havent really been keeping a tally but I seem to notice the problems happen with people that are running a dual core.
I'm hoping if enough people send their complaints directly to Gigabyte they might actually look into this problem.
Hopefully whatever it is could be fixed in a BIOS update unless its some mass manufacturing problem in which case we're all SOL.
I had the same problem with the PVMT-9. I ended up RMA'ing half my parts until I realized it was the motherboard. I just ordered the Asus 6150 motherboard.
I went as so far as calling Gigabyte regarding this problem along with the MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR. They refused to acknowledge it at all even...
I was looking to get the ASUS. But after waiting months and one delay after another I went with the Gigabyte since it at least had the 430 chipset. Even now the Asus 6150 board isnt that easy to get. From the intial reviews the only complaint with the board was its lack of overclocking features...
Dude, please post the fix. I have not found any fix for it just people post after post of people talking about the problem but no solution. Please post the fix please I will be forever greatful.
I've had the GA-K8N51GMF-9 for almost a month now and I've had nothing but problems. I keep receiving the MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR and from various posts on forums and on the newegg reviews I am not the only one.
Im not looking at overclocking, just lookin for stability that was the reason I went...
Well it seems it may be the motherboard. Seems I keep stumbling upon alot of posts with people that have that gigabyte motherboard having the MACHINE_CHECK_ERRORS
Here what someone wrote on a newegg review:
Comments: I had the same Machine_Check_Exemptions error when I first ran the m/b in...
I think its the motherboard.
I also have that Gigabyte motherboard and I keep getting the MACHINE_CHECK_ERRORS all the time in the middle of games.
Also look at the reviews over at newegg, seems lots of people that purchased that board are getting the same thing...
I recently built a new PC and I am unfortunatly getting the dreaded "MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR" that I've been reading about. Im hoping maybe someone can tell me what the rest of the parameters of the error mean
MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR (0x00000004,0x805535F0,0xB2000000,0x00070F0F)
The following are...
To get the most accurate temperature reading?
The hard drive is easy, but i have no idea where to place the cpu heat sensor.
I have a Zalman 7000 which makes it even more difficult to find a spot.
Wow you're right. I put back the stock Qpack PSU and everything works fine. Never would have though this ANTEC NeoHE would be the problem. Gonna go RMA it with newegg.
You have any suggestions of which PSU to go with instead that would fit well in the Qpack?
Hey all,
I recently put together a Qpack Rig with the following specs
AMD64 X2 4400
Antec NeoHE 550 PSU
2GB OCZ Performance Ram
WD Raptor 74gb drive
The problem Im having is with the video card. I first purchased an eVGA 7800 N517 which when I first built the system worked sort of...
You were right! It was lodged inbetween the front panel and the inside cage! What a pain in the arse. Had to unscrew and remove the front panel to pull it out.
Hey all,
I may be blind, but I do need to the jumper cable for the front firewire port to plug into my motherboard? I have the usb but i do need see the firewire one?
Am i missing something here?
I got the N517 card a couple of days ago.
I have the latest BIOS on it but it gives horrible artifacts in windows sometimes when I bootup that require me to reboot until it fixes the problem.
Games lock up most of the time.
I underclocked the core down to 445 from its "stock" 470 which...
Hello,
I have read others that have this issue but I am ready to RMA it back to newegg.
The video card gives out horrible artifacts in windows and locks up games unless I underclock it from its "stock" speed of 470mhz down to at least 450mhz or lower.
Even then it locks up once in a while...
I have a question for you guys with the Zalman 7000.
What do you tape the heat sensor on the Qpack to?
I have no idea which part of the Zalman heatsink to tape the sensor to!
I just got it. I only had a moment to try to install it but it seems the only way for it to fit "right" was to install it upsidedown with the cable on the left side with the antec logo on top. Is that how you did it? I havent began to put in the motherboard and the rest yet but I think thats how...
Ack! I just ordered the same Antec NeoHE 550 PSU from NewEgg as you for my Qpack. I take it other then the obvious problem of being DOA, the NeoHE 550 has no problem fitting into the Qpack?
Im not looking to overclock. Ill be running a X2 4400 just want to know how it performs and if its stable.
I know there are people in here that have it, can anyone comment please?
I ordered the gigabyte a day before the Asus was posted on newegg too!
I will also be using a 7800gt and not the onboard video.
Hopefully that is the only difference between the two boards.
This is the response I received today from zipzoomfly.com in reguards to the ETA on the 6150 boards they have listed on their site:

Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting...
I emailed ZZF.com asking when the Asus and the other 6150 boards they have listed on their site are supposed to arrive. Maybe get some ballpark figure. Hopefully they respond.
