Have you tried to restart the game after changing settings ? worked for me from 30fps at high to 100 fps at low in tortage ...

Depends how good the hd4870 plays AoC but probaly ill get one ...

Yes the dx10 patch is going to be super but also its going to kill alot of dx10 players ;) im sure my system wont handle it so ... :( and as far as i know it doesent support xfire too good... dont know about sli though.

The game is scaling just fine for me ... i play 1680@ max 2aa 16af bloom at 35ish fps ... wich is accepteble. Id wait for the HD4000 series if i was you.

I always use vsync for games but never for benchs.

Im running mine at 40% fan with 80c load ... so i guess you're ok lol i use riva tuner for the fan.

Well iv installed the 8.4 last night and didnt really have time to test them, but now im trying to play TMNF and after 2/3 mins on a track my pc freezes ... didnt have anything like that on the 8.3+fix drivers ... any ideas ? GPU/CPU not overheating.

UUm ok since Vista SP1 update every second WoW run is crash with : And i do not have VPU recovery in my CCC ... (so i cannot disable it) if i force to opengl i get uber low 5ish fps and slow slow loading ... Its good that im getting bored with wow :rolleyes: i think ill stick to ATI...

I vote for 3870 i have one of those and im pretty happy with it, a friend had an 8800GT and ive heard alot of crap about it (mostly cooling issues)...
