Where? The one on the lower part of the front bezel? Unfortunenately yes :( There are a tiny chip in the middle part of the bezel too. Nothing to worry about though, I could touch up the paint without much problems.
Sleeved the back USB cables. I painted the whie plastic part black. Looks much better.
Again, I left them visible instead of hiding under the sound card.
Final shot.
Haha that sounds great too.
Anyway, I sleeved moset exposed wires today.
First is the HDD power cable. I didn't do all the way to the PSU since its going to be hidden and the kit has barely enough sleeves to do the whole case.
The long ass USB cable for the front mounted ports...
Haha yeah. I underestimated the power of the LEDs, man they sure is bright!
I'll add couple more near the card reader to illuminate the upper vid card portion.
Added 14 red LEDs I had lying around as case lighting. It's bright! Almost as bright as single CCFL. Looks okay I guess. I just bought myself a new (good!) camera. Enjoy the pics!
4 of them at the bottom
3 mounted near the DVD drive, not pictured is 7 more mounted at the top. It's tricky...
Inspired by some members here, I added an Ikea wall shelf and light, which I had forgotten the name already. Blame the silly names they used!
I need a new desk, and couple new bigger monitors won't hurt either :D
You can try to hide the wires between the mobo and the tray or behind the PSU. I'm not familiar with that case, I guess there are no holes or some sort to run the cables on the mobo tray? Cutting a hole or two behind the tray would make hiding those cables easier.
If you have any other expansion card you can do what I did:
From the picture you posted, you can move the USB bracket to the 2nd slot just above the video card.
Post more pics of the area.
lol I guess CCFL indeed is outdated. I rarely see anyone with one nowadays.
Anyway, heres mine, still debating if I should have CCFL or LED fans in it. I never liked LED fans before but if done correctly they can look cool.
I need to work on the bottom SATA cables. I prefer flat...
Finally some decent pics!
I've sanded and buffed both right panel and front bezel.
Comments guys? :)
edit: I should have cleaned the edges before taking the pics. Those are leftover from rubbing compund. Ignore them lol
and those drive bay cover are...
I made the switch/LED/USB panel yesterday. I cannibalize the power button from an old ugly case I had in storage and epoxied the switch on the 5.25" cover. I forgot to take pics of the process lol. I'll get some pics when I took the bezel of again to install fan filter.
Its red LED on...
I used spray gun and air compressor for both car and case paintjob. Not the best equipment but it gets the job done.
I need a suggestion about case lightings. I know orange light and LED fan would look sweet but I have tons of blue and red LEDs lying around, and since I'm cheap I'd love to...
Thanks! I'm working on color coding stuffs to match the exterior paint.
I've sanded and buffed the left and top panels. I had to do it manually by hand since the buffer is too big for the panel and risks damaging the paint at the edges. My hand hurts!
Front bezel and right...
w00t!
I messed up with the spray gun settings and the finish is rough. Nothing that a color sand and buff can't fix! Can't wait till the paint fully cured.
I'm suck at naming things so..
Anyway, I had this full aluminum Skyhawk case since 2003. I've painted it candy blue back then and the rattle can spray I used are crappy and the paint started cracking in some places. I'm in the process of stripping all the old paint and prepping for the new...
Its been a while since I post here in [H], but heres what I'm working on. The cables are temporary until the case is finished. I did the cables in like 2 minutes lol. I'll post after shots soon!
This is the exact same case posted earlier in this thread back in like 2004.
My celly 300A beats your expensive PIIs :p
OP: When I first built my computer, I kinda messed up by getting a crappy mobo and sorta learned do your research properly before buying anything! How good is he with computers anyway? Remember that computers today are way easier to built due to easy...
You sound exactly like me. I have no idea how I can lose all the interest like what I used to. Hell I don't even know whats the fastest vid cards today lol
