Hello All,
I have a Cisco 7940G phone that I'd like to use at home for testing. I want everything in terms of the PBX done in the cloud. Very basic - calling in and out from my home desk. Free is best if possible, otherwise I'll end up spending a few bucks a month.
Do you recommend any...
I'm in a similar boat...
Do I wait for the iMac to be updated in a couple months and buy one of those as my main rig or buy a ACD and build a hackintosh? I really like the slimmer design of the ACD and I want to do some gaming.
I have a mid 2009 13inch MBP with the stock 160GB drive. I'm debating on upgrading the drive to a SATAII SSD drive this Christmas. I should note that I upgraded it to 4GB of memory the day I bought it.
I'm very impressed with the performance increase by using SSD. Is my MBP worth upgrading?
I saw what looks like a beautiful (not produced) case posted at the SIGGRAPH Nvidia press conference via Engadget yesterday.
It's the case between the server and laptop. Does anything like this exist? I would surely pick up one or two...
My first MBP 13" will be here on Tuesday and I'd like to go ahead and increase my memory from 2gb to 4gb. Do I need 2x2gb to replace what's already in there or just buy one 2gb stick? What do you recommend? Links are appreciated.
Thanks!
I discovered my parents desktop is extremely fuzzy. Also, the icons have the generic blue background instead of being transparent. I am using WinXP Azul background and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the vga drivers. I am using a 17inch LCD.
The desktop wallpaper looks extremely...
I actually bought this drive just now:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152093
Total was around $76 and it should be here wednesday. Hopefully I can get the plastic pieces on the drive without any issues, but it shouldn't be a problem.
I'll make it quick. My e1505 drive nearly screwed me tonight, I finally was able to recover my data and get back onto it. I need to replace this drive ASAP through Newegg.
Questions:
1. I finally got the windows drive check thing to run before login and it found corrupt sectors and did...
About a year ago I purchased an Olevia 237v LCD HDTV and I love it but naturally, I want to get something bigger.
I don't really care about thickness anymore if I can get a 65" 1080P DLP HDTV for substantially less than an LCD the same size. So far the only drawback I can find for buying...
You make a good point, it could very well be a power issue. My roommate hasn't hooked up the UPS he has yet so I'll try that next.
As for my router. Here is some info:
Model: Linksys WRT54G v6
Firmware: dd-wrt v23 SP2 MICRO
I have downloaded Tomato 1.14 but the router rejects it. PS...
1. I did reflash to the newest firmware on my Linksys.
2. I did try multiple cables.
Okay, so a tech came out and he was cool about things. He tested the lines and modem and everything was good but he said because I tried pretty much everything he'd make up something and give me a new modem...
Ok, I'll begin by saying that I am a networking major and I can't seem to solve this problem. I'll keep this as short as possible.
I have an Arris cable modem that connects to my Linksys WRT54Gv6, which is running a micro flavor of DD-WRT SP2. The Linksys router handles the wired/patched...
A digital camera is the only gadget I have held off to buy and I think this christmas I'd like one. Things I know from using the INTERNETZ so much is that for brands: Canon, Sony, Samsung.
I'd like something with max of $200 and 8mp, rechargeable battery, and at least 4gb sd capable. I also...
My dad bought the Sharp Aquos 46" LCD HDTV from Sears black friday ad and he also purchased an entertainment center that you can mount the TV on a vertical sliding mount. The entertainment center comes with bolts to mount the TV but they don't fit every TV. So I need to get some bolts that will...
Yea, I made sure to check for two bands. I will return the parts and see if the guy can direct me a different direction.
I'm still open for suggestions!
I have a 19" widescreen LCD I like to use on the go with my xbox 360. I have the VGA cables for my 360 but I have no way of getting audio from my 360. I want to be able to use my Sony MDR-v700 headphones with it.
Today I picked up an adapter that takes 2 RCA's and converts into a 1/8"...
When I beta tested Vista last fall I really like that calendar application. I want something very simple and mainstream. Preferably something from Microsoft or Google.
Any suggestions?
Sigh, last night my sister spilled water on her Dell 1520 laptop and not it won't work. Anyway, I am going to have her let it dry out for a few days and then see if it works. It is definitely under warranty. Will dell replace it?
I have had my Dell E1505 for about a 11 months now. My battery life SUCKS hardcore. According to the battery meter, I get about 1 minute per every 2% of battery - that is HORRIBLE!
I think I have the 6-cell battery with a Core Duo 1.6ghz.
Also, I run Windows XP Pro with no more than 20...
I purchased a White 5.5g 30gb iPod back in May of this year. Eventually I will get an iPod Touch but since Apple no longer offers the iPod's in white, do you think that the 5g/5.5g will become some sort of collector's item or at least will be in high demand after the buzz of the new color iPod...
I could try finding some pictures from current residents but I don't get to move in for another couple weeks. I was just trying to hear some of your ideas so that when I do move in, I will know exactly what to do.
I am moving into a new apartment for school in August. I have a few ideas on how to make the room I have seem really cool, but I need some of your opinions to spice things up.
My first idea: Take the top half of my desk off (shelves) and wallmount my Olevia 237v 37" HDTV so that my...
I basically want to have surround sound music through my Z-5500's. I have an Xbox 360 connected via optical so I hooked up my iPod to it. The audio quality is great it's just that it is not in all speakers, also, because its in Dolby Digital I cannot change the effect. What is the best way to...
I just bought the Logitech Z-5500s as an upgrade from my X-530's. I got allllll my shat together and pre-bought an optical cable for digital sound to my LCD HDTV/360 and it sounds great. The day I setup my new speakers I sold my X-530's to my friend, including that fuggin gaming adapter. Well...
So I bought a Zune back in march but returned it because I wasn't impressed for $250. Now yesterday I bought a new 5.5g White 30gb Ipod and I love it! The first accessory I bought was a 3-pack of gel cases for $8. I want to do more with my ipod, I just don't know where to start.
Any must...
I have tried howardforums and they can't answer my question so here goes:
I bought a Verizon XV6700 PDA phone on ebay in good used condition. Everything on the phone is great except I cannot get it to sync with ActiveSync AT ALL. I have tried my laptop and two different desktops. As far as I...
So it's like 20 degrees out and I had my laptop in my bookbag in my car. I went out and got it and brought it inside, booted it up, and the fan went on full blast and is still on after like 10 minutes of usage.
The CPU usage is like wayyyyyyy up.
What is going on?!
I thought I knew a thing or two about laptops until my friend brought me his HP dv6000.
Windows XP will not recognize his wireless card. He has a button on the front that you can turn the wireless on and off. We have tried turning it on and off but with no response. I have tried resetting the...
You know, I think I am having the same problem. I noticed that somewhere on the bottom of my E1505 whenever I touched it I would feel a little shock or tingly feeling. My current power adapter is 3 prong. What should I do?
My buddy just called me and told me his new rig that he built is great, but he thinks his 8800GTX is running way too hott. He got some laggy video and then a BSOD. He checked the card and its REALLY hott. What do you think I should have him do?
The reason I don't have AV installed is because I simply don't ever get viruses. And usually I reinstall XP every couple months. I guess I am more concerned with spyware and adware than viruses.
It hasn't done it since the day I bought it (back in october I think) and the CPU is under very little load at startup. It's like I login and hear the sound but it just sits at the blue screen....waiting....and waiting....acting as if its waiting on something but my HD is under no stress...
I don't think I've explained just how OCD I am. After startup I have a total of 16 processes running. I am CONSTANTLY checking what processes are running to make sure nothing is taking up memory that doesn't need to. I do not use anti-virus because I find it a memory hog. I use Hijack this...
I've got a Dell E1505. I am OCD about keeping everything clean so I only have 2 things in my startup (touchpad app and aim) and my desktop is completely clean. I regularly clean the crap off my lappy and defrag too. Everytime I log into Windows XP Pro I get this like 1-2 minute hang. After I...
My laptop BSOD'd on me today in the library but its because of the power issues here and the outlets sometimes make Dell laptops do that. Anyway, I log back into WinXP all my freaking Firefox 2.0 bookmarks, settings, and crap is reset?!! What happened? How do I get them back?!
