Dell e1505 Drive Troubles!

I'll make it quick. My e1505 drive nearly screwed me tonight, I finally was able to recover my data and get back onto it. I need to replace this drive ASAP through Newegg.

Questions:

1. I finally got the windows drive check thing to run before login and it found corrupt sectors and did something, does it isolate those sectors so they won't be used anymore?

2. I need a drive from Newegg thats about 120-160gb and I don't know if I can get SATA 3.0gbs or 1.5gbs?

I can't answer the first question with certainty.

I had a maxtor from 2001 (that i'm still using) that had several bad sectors. Windows found it. I coped everything off, GWSCANed it with zeroes to the drive and it seems to work quite well now.

I have the 120 GB 5400 PATA one and it's pretty fast. It's also got a 5 year warranty

Total was around $76 and it should be here wednesday. Hopefully I can get the plastic pieces on the drive without any issues, but it shouldn't be a problem.
