Looking to buy 16GB of RAM, two 8GB sticks, and preferentially 1600mhz. I missed out on the PNY deal of a century, so I am continuing my search for a good buy at under $75 (shipped) if possible. Its for a mITX build. Post or PM any offers you may have... I have a verified PayPal, and Google Wallet.
I don't know if this idea is plausible, or even affordable...

I have been trying to gather as much information as I can regarding high-performance enclosures and hard drive options. I have been pondering between SSD's, hybrids, and high RPM mechanical drives.
Though I keep coming to a dead end when researching hard drive enclosures, as it feels like there...
I own the G73JH-A1 and I've had it since launch. I've performed a re-paste about 2 years ago with IC7 and have had zero heating issues since. Most recently, I have had to replace the main OS drive due to corruption, which I did replace with a Samsung 840 EVO and I regret not changing it sooner...
I feel I might have finally outgrown my durable and outstanding ASUS G73Jh Laptop, as it is now on its 4th year running. It still handles most games, but at a reduced frame rate including a baseball bat to the quality. I feel its now time to upgrade... so I am gathering as much information as I...

I just reinstalled Windows 7 64, and was in the OS to update the raid controller driver on my Gigabyte P35-DS3R v1.0 motherboard. After restarting the computer, it goes through the initial Award BIOS post screen, then the Intel sata controller screen comes up, and says all is good. But when it...
I have been contemplating either purchase at the moment but cannot decide. I was hoping maybe someone here could help me think a bit more outside the box... lol
As the topic states I am looking to buy a new gaming laptop, I have looked around and discovered two the ASUS G73JH-A1 and the Clevo M980NU. While the Clevo looks amazing and produces some nice numbers it isn't "future ready." But then again I am only looking for a laptop that can play MMOs for...

On my Gigabyte P35-DS3R, I did a DDR2Overvoltage with +0.4 and when I do that, on my PC Health screen in the BIOS it says for DDR2V18 that its Failed.
Can anyone help me make some sense of that, as I was told that I need to get my Crucial Ballistix to 2.2V, and +0.4 would do that.
After about an hour of playing around I did some driver installations, and rebooted. Well after rebooting, I did some more driver installations. This time, I went to click the Power Button in the start menu.
Now my monitor is asleep, my keyboard is unusable, and my mouse is as well. My PC is...
... I can't decide... I have a copy of Vista Ultimate and XP Pro (legit copies might I add). I have a RAID 0 configuration ready to be used, and I don't think its good to partition on a RAID 0 config as that would reduce speed due, maybe not a noticable amount, to the fact of partition placement...
I plan on using either XP Professional or Vista Ultimate (undecided), and I am unsure of what file system to use. I am going to have a RAID 0 setup, but which file system would better suit me? NTFS or FAT?
I was looking at buying myself a E6750, as well as that Ballistix ram as I have read that its doing fantastic. I am just trying to keep my system capable of playing this years latest games, StarCraft 2, and EverQuest 2, World of Warcraft, Crysis, Battlefield: Bad Company, BF2142, and many other...
How does it affect performance and stability? Which is the better route?
I was thinking about getting this stuff: Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 BL2KIT12864AA804
The system will be primarily used for gaming, graphics, and developement.
With very little, but quite cool, information lying on AMD's side currently I am leaning that direction. However, Intel has stood up to its name this year and tore AMD a new one.
I am just trying to decide which route to take as there are sooo many biased things being said I can't get true...
Well I am trying to decide if its the right decision for me or not, and well I don't know yet and I don't know if anyone else knows either. As I am currently in the design / analysis portion of my PC, and have not bought it.
I mean yes the P35 is already here and we know its great, but how...
