Right click on a .m file and choose "Open With" and then "Choose Program". In the dialog select MatLab and check the box for "Always use the selected program" finally click OK.

Does this game require an internet connection to play? I'm currently on dial up and can get a friend to download it for me but I don't want to have the phone line tied up for hours while I play.
I don't know if this relevant but if you're looking at broadband use worldwide it might be wise to keep in mind that not all broadband is equal. Where I live "broadband" speeds range from 64kb to 256kb (and it's expensive). The same is likely to be true for other third world/ developing countries.
You could do it with Javascript and LiveConnect which lets you manipulate Java from within Javascript but there are probably going to be security issues. You can find more info in the Javascript 1.3 reference (don't have a link though, sorry).

Try using a different client, such as Bram's original client, http://www.bittorrent.com/. It should resume the transfer from where Azureus left off if you point it to the same save location. If this doesn't work then it's likely someone in the swarm is sending bad data and there are no peers...
