Just installed a new XFX 5770.
Windows 7 64bit
Driver Packaging Version 8.681-091124a-092499C-ATI
Dell 3007WFP HC.
Looks like a bad refresh. Vertical lines quickly appear and dissapear as the window is being created/killed, also when restore and minimize. So basically when Aero is...
Great. Thanks for the help.
I got the 4870 because I found a deal I couldn't pass up. I'm going to keep the 4870 and try to get rid of the 4850.
I'll do this for now and try to get something more decent when prices start coming down.
Gaming isn't my main priority and I'm just getting the monitor today. I haven't added the 2nd half of the RAM yet either.
I couldn't find any 4890s.
How are the 280s?
I can get a 280 GTX for $180.
Ok, I have the 4870 and a 4850 (got it cheaply). I'll keep the 4870 in the machine and wait for a good deal on a 4890 and then get rid of the 4870. Or should I go straight up to 5xxx?
I'll also keep a lookout for a GTX card.
I got Vista Home on my Notebook a while back. I've been using 7 and will now put my retail version of 7 (upgrade) on my new workstation. Therefore I have to go back to WIndows Vista on my notebook.
I have the rescue disks with everything on them. Can't I just do a fresh install with the...
I recently acquired some M-Audio AV40s and haven't yet hooked them up (still assembling/ordering office furniture). I just have the onboard sound for now. Do I need a 3rd party sound card?
I just got a 1TB Hitachi 7K1000.B. How does it stack up against the 500GB. I haven't seen many benchmarks. Specifically the 7K1000.B against the 500GB that you're talking about.
I'd try the freezer trick and then slap spinrite on a disk and give it a go.
Btw. the freezer trick only helps with initializing the drive. The drive heat up pretty quickly after that.
It's hard to find something affordable if you're going to be backing up those large amounts of data.
In the end if someone is overselling their product (like mozy) it's hard to feel safe with more than 20GB of data hosted for $5 a month.
Has anyone had any luck getting the HTC Hero on boost with data?
I'm really looking to get a $50 per month plan for unlimited everything. That would really help me get on the Android bandwagon.
I've been using WinMo for quite a while and I am just aching to get away from it. Yes it syncs... It just feels clunky thought. Really craving an android phone. How does the hardware for instance compare to the HTC Hero?
I'd like to know the same.
I just got some OCZ platinum 10666 7 CAS 2gb x 4. Would like to know how if that or say the 12800 CAS 8 or 9 would have been better.
Exciting to see what you've done with the 902, just got myself one after not having a workstation (just notebook) for such a long time. Can't wait.
One question (sorry for high jacking). Some of the switches at the back and top are missing, should one of the holes just be open...
On the other hand, will it block a RAM slot? I've got 4GB in there already and another 4GB just waiting to go in.
I bought the Biostar T5 at Fry's with the i7 860 when they had the combo deal.
I just got a great deal on a 4870 but it's only a 512MB. Is it worth getting another and using a crossfire config on them?
I'm on a 30" so I'd love to play native resolution 2560x1600!
